If some sellers on here only sold at 20% above eBay we would all be buying. They are selling or trying to sell, at 50% or more than eBay.

    Yup.

Many buyers on here feel entitled to buy at 20% below eBay. Most of those try to buy at 50% or more below eBay. Just my experiences.

    Yup.

For as many cards that sell on Ebay there are as many that are way overpriced and don't sell so people need to keep that in mind.

Soon SCF will have a storefront and auction system though that will be better than the standard forum thread saying i have this for sale etc etc.

I don't think it ruins the fun of the hobby. Yes, there are some people out there who only do it to try to turn a profit, but you'll find that anyplace there's potential for money to be made. To each their own.

Am I sick of it? Only when someone advertises a want list that I can fill, but insists the cards I want are for sale only. Then it gets on my nerves a little.

The only thing I would say to your being 5/5 specifically is, which forum are you perusing? Because if you're in the sale forum looking for trades, then you are barking up the wrong tree. If you're in the trade forum being told sale only, then you have all the right in the world to be frustrated.

really? REALLY?! Oh please please please please please!

I would be *SO* happy to be able to storefront some cards without having to pay eBay like 30% of my transaction and have absolutely no coverage against being scammed.

What I love is sellers with a (0) beside their name, registered a week earlier, try to sell at twice the market price, then never darken the door of this site from that point on and leave mad...... Lol

Upset that nobody buys from you because you have a (0) next to your name? Tough Terds, that's the lay of the land. Pay your dues here, before you come a Ripping-Off.

Not sure if you're talking about me, but to counter that point

I actually have a 1 beside my name
I guess I have to go over this again......

    I don't have a very big collection.
I like busting boxes, buying some cards I really want, and I have a very low amount of spending money
Selling cards under 10.00 seems like a waste and for me the time it would take me to pack, and ship it isn't worth it seeing as there isn't much I don't collect

So I apologize for not having thousands of traders, days of spare time, and gobs of cash falling out of my pockets and ears

Anyhow, when I pull something like a stamkos Manu patch, when I already have three of his auto, and see it sells for 80.00 that's a card I want to sell

I don't understand why that would scare buyers off
I have to send first, and they have to recieve and check the card, before they even log in to paypal

And since in order to sell you have to have like 300 feedback, do you mind sharing how people are supposed to get started if everyone runs away from new sellers?
Do I have to give 300 cards free so my number under my name is bigger?

Numbers don't matter, people with 3000+ feedback are found as desisted, shillers, and non payers etc

Anyway people who don't buy from people with low numbers, just miss out,
Imagine, if you live life only buying from 90 year olds, and buying from wal mart

    Think about this......
At some point back in what, 2001, guess what? You had a zero beside your name
So did everyone run from you, label you as untrustworthy, scammer, and never buy from you?

    I doubt it

If a seller has a byfuglien red, with 28,000 feedback, and a seller with 0 feedback has a byfuglien red(must send first, nothing to lose) I don't care which one I pay, I'll buy either one

Read the post. It says try to sell THEN LEAVE mad. Key word, ....leave.

If I had a dollar for every seller with a (0) that joined, then one week later tried to sell, then left the site not to return, I'd have a ton of cash over the last 11 years.

We have all been at that point where we had zero feedback. I believe the point he is trying to make is that feedback is a representation of experience and knowledge. Members that have high feedback have experience making deals with other members, and have a reputations that follow them so other members know what to expect. The easiest way (in my opinion) for new members to establish themselves is by trading. this shows other traders you are willing to send first, and have some idea of market values when you do start to sell.
