Billups is done for the year, and he was a shooting guard who is past his prime. Griffin is good, but I don't believe he's great like others do. However, Chris Paul is CLEARLY making his teammates better. Is LeBron making his teammates better? Sure, just as much as Wade and Bosh make the same teammates better.Hidden Content

I totally agree.
He's the only guy that was inserted into the team other than Caron Butler who is clearly a role player but you cannot argue that Blake Griffin is having a much better year than last year.
PLUS NBA always loved these "surprise" candidates.
Steve Nash for two years and Derrick Rose last year.
Not many expected them to win them in those years.
I guess the only clear award we know is set so far is MIP.

I'm also taking into account the 8-1 record the Heat had when Wade wasn't playing...

Definitely Durant so far...he's putting up great numbers and a great record, even with Russell Chuckbrook at the point. Plus he's a fan favorite and a guy the NBA needs. With Kevin and LeBron, they can set a "Good vs. Evil" theme with both the Heat and Thunder playing so well.

I took it into account as well. Chris Paul still is making his teammates and the overall team better. LeBron does that as much as Bosh or Wade. I wouldn't even call LeBron the MVP of his own team let alone the league.

Tony Parker should be in the talk. Team that lost Ginobili for a big stretch and again, yet NO one is giving them any pub. Has the points and assist going and torched a certain best-team not too long ago.
But since the MVP is a popularity vote, it's probably already predestined to someone.

Lebron clearly makes his team better. Besides scoring nearly 28 ppg, he is also averaging 8.1 rpg and 6.7 ast per game. He has also learned to choose shots wisely. His fg % is the highest it has been his whole career. I'm not saying he will win it or he deserves it, but he will and deserves strong consideration and to be in the discussion. He is by far the MVP of that team. The only other player who can be in the discussion for that is Wade, and Wade has missed his fair share of games. Personally to be quite honest, Lebron has been better than Wade in his first 2 years in Miami.

I don't think he was saying Lebron should not even in the discussion but CP3 deserves more this year.
They are both great players and helping their respective teams to winning records, but if the Clips end up where they are right now at the end of the season, then CP3 will be the MVP.
NBA doesn't like giving out multiple MVPs who one person and they love surprise candidates. If both players equally qualifies, then CP3 will win it.
Plus CP3 doesn't have Wade and Bosh on the team but only Griffin as the other star. That will take into an account.
