I'm gonna give it til 10 after or so, but with so many teams not out of the playoff picture - when's the last time we made to to 20games to go with 28 teams still viable for the playoffs? - I would have thought that there would be more teams prepared to declare themselves buyers or sellers. Instead it would appear that most teams are prepared to stand pat and see what happens.
Either that, or the next 10-30 minutes are about to see TSN and all the other reporting outlets go absolutely insane.

Should be interesting to learn if the Preds did give that 1st rounder Buffalo supposedly wanted for Gaustad. We know they don't have any 2nd rounders. LOL
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Just hope it wasn't for a first as Buffalo was demanding earlier.

Islanders send Brian Rolston and Mike Mottau to Boston for future considerations is what I hear right now.

I think the Gaustad situation was a little overblown.
If Regier is looking for a first, it's because he's looking for that first that's going to be a position in the 25-30 range, and Gaustad's worth that. He's great on the PK and one of the top faceoff men in the league, he's certainly worth MORE than a late 2nd rd pick.
If it was from a "less competitive team," say ANA, MIN, COL he probably would go for a 2nd rd pick.
Nashville is... interesting.

Darren Dreger tweeted that the Rangers made a mamoth offer for Nash but Columbus declined.

Columbus seems to think that they'll get a better offer come the end of the season... I don't see that as being likely.
It's a gamble on all sides of course, but I doubt they will see a better package than what NYR was offering right now, especially given NYR's penchant for paying through the nose for high profile players.
