That's what I do. I always get a "I'll have to pass" or "No thanks" response instead of a counter-offer. I always tell them they can counter if they feel the price or trade deal is not to their liking, but about 40% I'd say would either not respond or just say "no" again. I just add them to my 50/50 list. If they are interested in another card and say a plain "no" again, then I add them to my ignore list.

Wow you are better than me. I only give them 1 time to flake after that they get blocked. I also request that the person that I am trading with makes the first offer. Most of the time they make a decent offer and the trade can go off without a hitch. Sometimes I have to tweek my offer but it still goes through but I have no patience for someone who says that they want to trade but then backs out of every trade offer.

Ya, I try to give everyone another chance, but I'll soon stop. I usually have them make an offer first as well, but if they give me a super low-ball offer, I just say thanks, but I'll pass. I also add them to my Low-Baller list, and ignore their offers after that. I really do think most of them think they can score 20%+ less on here than on eBay. So many tell me that I am avoiding eBay fees, but fees aren't $25 for a $60 sale...come on now!

Some people just aren't considerate that you took the time to look at their list and contact them. I seriously sometimes will reply to a thread and say PM sent, also send the list in the PM. I almost always say "please let me know either way if you could"
For those who can't, I don't like you. lol.

I'm really about to start listing on eBay again even though I hate their fees. At least I'll know I can get what I want on it. I'm selling less than eBay prices already, but people want WAY below eBay.

    Bolded for emphasis.

A lot of these complaints would go away if people would just be considerate of others. I would bet you that 99% of these users who don't answer PM's, don't reply to posts and so forth are not considerate of others in their personal life. Just an opinion, but one I feel pretty strongly in.

Even though when it all boils down to it, this is a hobby and should not be the most important thing in anyone's life...but a little consideration for your fellow user goes a long way, just like in real life.

To add to the topic at hand - I can usually let not answering PM's and things like that slide. [RANT] If there is anything that really does irritate me, it's people taking longer than the allotted 3 days to send their end of a trade without notifying me that they hadn't sent it yet. Things happen in life and I understand that...but a simple "hey man, the cards are gonna be a little late getting to you because of blah blah blah" PM is fine with me. I've lost count of how many deals I've done lately (usually with members just a hair over the 20 feedback #) where it's almost like they wait for my end to arrive before they send theirs. I'm pretty established on this site - I shouldn't have to send first! [/RANT]

I actually had a guy pull this on me, and I still can't get over it. He has a thread selling items, I wont say what items as to completely call him out. At three o'clock I offer him 12 dollars for an item he wants 15 for. He writes me back at 4 asking if I'll split the cost and give him 13.50. I immediately send him a PM right back accepting and telling him to post it. Here is the crazy part. He writes me back the next morning saying that he hates to go back on his word, but someone else offered him the 15 and he's opting to take more money. 1.50? After we already agreed? I write him back telling him that I'll give him the 15, but he says he posted up the trade already. I still can't get over that. It's his item, he can do what he wants, but to back out on an agreement over 1.50 and not give me a chance to match it? Unbelievable.

I am getting fed up with this to be honest. I go to check if people have been on. If you have been on since I sent my message 2 days ago then you should have gotten it.
I haven't messed much with the message read receipts. But I'm gonna go be a pain and post visitor messages on peoples things now.
It isn't hard to answer a message. Be courteous people.
