This is too funny - LA is ready for anything that will happen - last night it was calm all the way to the car (about 3 blocks away) - Most craziest thing that happen - About 1000 fans chanting GO KINGS GO and WE WANT THE CUP - ooooooooooooooooohhhh look out....

There are a pair of cops on every corner 2 blocks around the Staples Center.....I dont project any riot or looting of any kind.....
I will be there....with no worries except how I will get all the pictures with everyone jumping up and down!!!

Sadly if the Kings win the Cup the story will probably be on page 4 after the L.A. Dodgers and L.A. Angels box scores

I didn't hear a word about it from American TV (other than the game broadcasts themselves) until Conan last night. As much as I like having teams in the warmer climates, it does show where on the radar hockey is down there.

"The streets around Staples Center were cleared by 11 p.m. Monday. Police said around 9:30 a group of people were rocking an MTA bus then threw bottles at LAPD, prompting officers to fire rubber bullets at the crowd gathered near Ninth and Figueroa streets."
Yep because the cops fire rubber bullets at crowds when they are being as classy as they come
Still not nearly as bad as I was expecting LA to be, not sure why but I was expected similar to the Vancouver riots. But I do applaud LA for coming prepared and having the area well patrolled to prevent anything major from happening.
Congrats to LA for the Cup and also congrats to your citizens for not getting carried away.

I said KINGS fans are classy as they come. Those kooks were non-hockey knuckleheads. All of the idiots were dispatched quickly.

So not a single person involved in the incident was a Kings fan?
What about the Vancouver riots last year, let me guess not a single one of them were hockey fans either and it was just the kooks.
