True with the stupidity.
The amount of people paying hundreds and hundreds for Ty Conklins of any printing size on here was outrageous when this site began in 2003
I called out several posters on SCF that were Paying above $30.00 and $40.00 for a UD Rookie, Mask, MVP, Sp Game-Used. Bowman, BAP etc.
They all were very upset with me calling them dunces, and remarked that he was the next Roy and that they would all be rich. Lol

don't mess with the Titanium set collectors. even a Datsyuk RC /17 from the original Titanium recently fetched $3K.

What people do with their money is their prerogative. For all we know that $900 could be a drop in the bucket for what they have as disposable income. Some people buy cars, some people buy boats, some buy comics, ect... If the buyer is thinking this is going to be some great investment, yea that's probably not too smart. Otherwise, I say good for the buyer and seller: Buyer gets the card they want, seller gets a nice chunk of change. Seems fine to me...

Have the Koskinen 1/1 or Brendan Smith /2 been pulled yet? Or the RNH 1/1 draft position card?

Fixed for you
Is Parssinen a Finn? It may be easier to find a deep pocketed collector than you think!

thats insane. not to go too off topic but some other non-RC's from Titanium have been going for, imo, some ridiculous prices. here's a Jagr Gold /10 that went for $95, thought that wasn't too shabby:

and his red /99 has been selling for over $20, not bad for a non-RC parallel. Ovy gold /10 for $128

I really like the Spectrum Ruby parallel set. They're really sharp looking cards. :)

Dats is #13 total cards...... Have not seen one yet.
Datsyuk vs John Moore, whom I have never heard of. One man has arguably been the best overall Hockey Player in the NHL since 2001, the other has been what exactly?
I do agree with some Titanium Set Collector's mentality. The Private Stock mob are the same.Last edited by centrehice; 06-21-2012 at 08:35 PM.

Just plain absurd & ridiculously to have SN# after the player's jersey#!
I still remeber that day when I saw a pic of a Ty Conkin RC 1/1 from Titanium 00-01 if I'm correct because of his #1 as jersey-number in a Beckett Hockey Monthly magazine and almost fell off the chair...
Ultra-low-printed-rookies are killing the hobby in my opinion, too much $$$ and too HUGE risks of potentially flops (like Patrick Stefan who was so HOT and ULTRA-expensive in early 2000's and tunrned into a HUGEEE flop and his cards got almost worthless nowadays)
$900 for a "nonbody" RC is just ******* brutal....3x more expensive than my most expensive card ever bought in 2008!
