I can't see that card dropping much below 300, so I doubt you'd lose money. Considering his Ice Premier card can get $850+ and its numbered to 99, I can definitely see it going up in value after all those get off the market. It might be something worth hanging on to for a while though.

It'll be interesting to see what happens. This definitely crossed my mind, it definitely holds less value historically compared to UD.
But this product is RED HOT right now. I mean to enter box breaks for 1 team out of 30 costs you'll struggle to get for under $3 maybe even $4 right now.
I'm going to list it at $425 OBO and hope for $375. If it doesn't sell, maybe I'll keep it until next season. I'm sure Nuge'll get hot and the card will as well.
Once I get it I know I'm also going to be tempted to PC it, that always seems to happen.

In 2001-02 Titanium (Pacific product back then) released in their Hobby editions serial numbered RCs. I remembered this when they released their product overview which I think increases interest among collectors. Back then they did the whole Hobby vs. Retail thing where Hobby RCs were serialed to the jersey number as they are with all 11-12 Titanium.
It would be interesting to see how a Datsyuk /13 sells for today.
As far as Beckett goes (not the best place to go, I know) here is the set: http://www.beckett.com/hockey/2001-0.../#srrowNum=500
The only completed listing I saw was a Kristian Huselius /22 that sold for $50.

Maybe this would be an indicator as to how the 11-12 Titanium will retain it's value?Last edited by gfel2795; 06-26-2012 at 09:58 PM.

That's crazy!
I'll tell ya there's a guy who sells boxes of 2001-02 Titanium Hobby for like $40, two for $75, kinda tempting with chances at cards like that!

+2 , once The Cup comes out, all of the other rookie cards cool down as all of the rookie card collectors fight over the new Cup Rookies

As of right now, I'm inclined to think that the Titanium RC's will retain their value and have the chance to increase in value.
