I believe OKC got the steal of the draft. What a pickup for them.

    Sullinger might contend for that.

I would've liked to have seen MKG come to Cleveland with MGK...that'd cause some confusion. I'm glad they didn't grab Drummond...not sure how I feel about Waiters; was hoping they'd grab a talented swingman (Barnes), but Waiters is growing on me.

Now see I didn't want anything to do with Barnes. Although I do think his game would've been greatly complimented with Irving by his side, I think he has a lot to learn about being a "player." I feel he's inexperienced.

I don't really see Sullinger being a steal...a good pick that could have a solid career? Definitely. But he won't be much more than a Brandon Bass type player, I don't think.

I think Barnes had a lot of potential...he can shoot and he's a natural scorer. Of course, he's going to be inexperienced, but the Cavs aren't contending right away anyway. I would've liked to have seen them take a chance on him, but we'll just have to see how it goes.

Absolutely correct. PJ3 was supposed to be a Top 5 pick last year and falling to the Thunder was awesome.

I keep hearing Perry Jones and Jared Sullinger were both "steals", am I missing something? Both guys never impressed me in college. Both are soft, and Sullinger is undersized and won't have much of an offensive game in the pros. He won't be able to run over the pros.

Sullinger going at 21 I think is why you are hearing it. He was projected as a mid to late lottery pick. He is going to the Celtics who love to build these types of players. Not too many people liked Big Baby either but they groomed him pretty well. Perkins is another guy. I think its more about the team he went to at the draft position. He is in a great spot to succeed and build on what he has. They always say you can build an offensive game much easier then a defensive game. Everyone see him as a Center, I think he will turn into a PF. a 6'9" PF with excellent rebounding, great defense and huge lower body strength all work perfectly in is favor. He can get position but doesnt know how to finish yet. Teach him some low post moves, build his conditioning and I can see him as a 12-10 type of guy early in his career and can build to a 20-10 type.

I have heard reports of certain teams (if they drafted him) were planning on using him as a PF/C

Having watched him a bunch, I don't see him ever doing well. He just wasn't impressive and found him to be more overhyped than anything else. When he did go up against someone his size, he just couldn't handle it, and thought everytime he missed he was fouled and he took himself out of the game mentally.
