    20 Pack Mixer

Long story short, I bought some cards.

I debated a looooong time at the Wally World since they had JUST restocked because I wanted a Topps Series 2 blaster for awhile, but my love for Ginter took over. They had some fresh 20 packers for $20, usually a terrible deal because they stuff them full of rack packs of like 2006 Topps that have nothing but base cards in them. But they managed to suck me in again... here's what was showing:

    2010 Topps Series 1
    2010 Topps Heritage
2009 Topps Series 1 (I thought this was Upper Deck to be honest...)
    2009 Topps Update and Highlights
    2009 Upper Deck Icons

    ... and ...

    2010 TOPPS ALLEN AND GINTER!!!

Yes, that little brown pack compelled me to buy this bad boy. So, lets see what else the magical green box contained:

    2010 Topps Series 1
    2011 Topps Series 1
    2009 Topps Series 1
    2011 Topps Series 2
    2009 Upper Deck Icons
    2009 Bowman Chrome
    2009 O-Pee-Chee
    2008 Upper Deck Series 2
    2010 Topps Update
    2008 Upper Deck Timeline
    2009 Upper Deck X (I love the Upper Deck X sets... 2008 and 2009)
    2008 Upper Deck Baseball Heroes

    wait for it...

    2010 Topps Allen and Ginter
    2011 Topps Allen and Ginter

Yes! 3 packs of Ginter, and the only really lame pack in there was O-Pee-Chee! Solid box, even if it's all base!

I won't crack every single pack right now, in fact I'm going to post this, break a few and post them maybe 4 packs at a time. One of those live breaks or whatever. I'll also use these as motivation to study for an upcoming exam. Bwahahaha! This is going to be a great break, I can feel it!

Alright, I'm back. Here's what we've got for Round 2 of our quintouple-header pack ripping box break thingy!

    Pack 5: 2009 Topps Updates & Highlights

    Matt Diaz
    Gerardo Parra RC
    Tyler Greene RC
    Ted Lilly All Star
Matt "Perfect Game" Cain All Star
    Michael Young All Star
    C.C. Sabathia Prominent Baseball Players
    Justin Verlander ToppsTown
    Casey McGehee
    Mark DeRosa
    Ross Detwiler
    Ryan Franklin

Clearly not every pack can be like Pack #4.

    Pack 6: 2009 Topps Series 1

    Chris Young
Saltalamacchia & Hamilton Brothers in Arms
    Santana/Lincecum/Peavy - NL ERA Leaders
    Torri Hunter Prominent Ball Players
    Alex Rodriguez ToppsTown
    Chris Lambert RC
    Brad Hawpe
    Cody Ransom

Also, all of these cards are black. Is this a random Black Parallel pack from a blaster? Are they ripping open old blasters for packs now? I suppose, it was only 8 cards... COOL! That makes the whole pack a winner!

    Pack 7: 2009 Topps Series 1 (Blaster Pack #2!)

    Mark Sweeney
    Aaron Cook
    Fredi Gonzalez
    Geovany Soto Prominent Ball Players
    Josh Hamilton ToppsTown
    Miguel Montero
    Hideki Okajima
    Joe Torre

More black parallels. Sweet. Feel free to correct me if all of Topps Series 1 was printed in black. Don't know why they went back to white borders and backgrounds for Update and Highlights tho...

    OK!

Pack 8: 2008 Upper Deck Baseball Heroes

    Derrek Lee
    Chipper Jones/Ryan Braun/Miguel Cabbera
    Bob Gibson
    Dan Haren
    Ken Griffey Jr./Roberto Clemente/Vladimir Guerrero/Joe DiMaggio
$1.49 off MLB Upper Deck Heroes blaster box at Target. Expired 4 years ago.

Nice. I'm very, very pleased thus far. The black parallels are a nice surprise. We've still got some more Topps due up, a Bowman Chrome pack, and of course... GINTER... which will be last.

The black parallels may be the Wal-Mart Exclusive cards?

Hah! Looks like we're due up for Section 3! Thanks for sticking with us... it's the only way to go. Doing one go at it with 20 packs? That would be NUTS!

Pack 9: 2011 Topps Series 2 (Joe Mauer!)

    Leo Nunez
    Jason Donald
    Brandon Phillips
    Kendrys Morales
    Ivan DeJesus RC
    Maicer Izturis
    Derek Holland
Michael Kohn RC Gold Bordered #/2011
Before There Was Tops Bowman 1948-1955
    Jacoby Ellsbury Topps 60
    Adam Moore
    Travis Ishikawa

Not bad, a little serialized action going on...

    Pack 10: 2011 Topps Series 1

    Jon Lester
    Brian Fuentes
    Jeremy Guthrie
    New York Mets
    Neil Walker
    Hunter Pence
    Tim Hudson
    David Price/Matt Garza Diamond Duos
    Duke Snider The Lost Cards
C.C. Sabathia ToppsTown (CC has been pretty popular in this box!)
    Xavier Nady
    Alcides Escobar

Hrm. Got a Twin! So that counts for something, right?

    Pack 11: 2010 Topps Series 1

    Jason Kendall
Joe Blanton (This picture is awesome...)
    Darin Erstad
    Vernon Wells
    Scott Kazmir
    Houston Astros
Dustin Pedroia 2007 Reprint (It was only 3 years guys... necessary?)
Lou Gehrig History of the Game
    Adam Jones ToppsTown
    Roy Halladay
    Dexter Fowler
    Kevin Millwood

Looking hard to this last pack to save this segment!

Pack 12: 2010 Topps Series 1 (Blaster Box pack!)

    John Smoltz
    Marco Scutaro
    Henry Rodriguez RC
Pedro Martinez The Cards Your Mom Threw Out
    Frank Robinson 1957 Reprint
    Frank Thomas/Prince Fielder Legendary Lineage
    Miguel Tejada Topps Town
    Vladimir Guerrero

And the half of the pack that WASN'T inserts (and they were pretty good inserts if you ask me!) were once again black background/border parallels. So sweet, that pack did pretty much save this segment!

We're getting down to the good stuff here... or at least the really good packs! Stay tuned and we'll rip into those very shortly!

Those black parallels usually fetch about a dollar each, at least the Bailey's do, so you did pretty well with 3 packs of them!
