Sunday July 1 Nationals at Braves, third and final game of series
Outside Pregame Nats side:
Davey Johnson- 1/1 '11 Topps Nationals Team card ( Not his team but Acta is not onthe front of the card)
Steve McCatty- 2/2 '78 Topps Rookie 4 player panel, '82 Topps Team Leader card with Rickey H from'81 A's
Chien Ming Wang- 2/3- '09 Topps, '10 Topps
Xavier Nady 3/3- 2x '09 Topps, '11 Topps
Inside Game Pregame ( again no batting Practice due to the Heat):
Pitchers were out early to toss, much to the surprise of the less than 20 people there, Strasburg was out there. He had been pulled from the game early the day before and sine it was earlierinthe day we thought he might not be there let alone outside throwing. But he was and he signed, for everyone. It became a crowd quickly
Stephan Strasburg 1/1,1/1,1/1- Sam got His '10 Topps Rookie card, Got a friend who owed him a favor to get '11 Topps and I got him on a ROMLB SS. Nice guy chatted with us about how the heat on Turner Field Mound was extreme to him, event hough it is hotter in DC rightnow he was very uncomfortable yesterday. No anger or snide comments about getting pulled.
At this point pitchers were out and signing but we had gotten most earlier in the homestand:
Jordan Zimmerman 1/1- '11 Topps
Rest on a ROMLB Team Ball he started:
Jonathan Solano
Drew Storen
Sean Burnett
Ryan Matthus
Tom Gorzelanny
Ian Desmond
We did not come back after the game...
For the series he got two sweet spots ROMLB ( Harper and Strasburg)
one partial team ball that he will work on more when they come back in September
and 27 cards signed. The Nats have been very strong signers on both visits.
Except for Morse ( injured last time and no signing this time) and Werth who has been injured both times, and Ryan Zimmerman.

Just got back from a quick getaway, never posted on our last game of the Braves Homestand:
Cubs at Braves Game 3 of Four game set
July 4 2012:
Outside the stadium pregame:
Chris Volstad 1/1 '11 Topps
Carlos Marmol 1/1 '10 UD
Ryan Dempster 1/3- '10 Topps
Others signed, Sam did not have anything for them, still hoping/chasing Soriano
Inside during Batting Practics
David De Jesus 2/2- '09 Topps, '10 Topps- He had promised Sam repeatedly that he would come over and Sam held him to it.
Jeff Samardzija- 1/4, 1/1- '10 Topps, '12 Heritage I helped him on the Heritage
Matt Garza- 1/1 '11 Bowman- His cleanest Signture of the three we got this series
Ryan Dempster- 1/1 '12 Heritage
Saw a few others sign. Including Soriano once for a kid that threw him a ball and pen. But alas, not for us....
We skipped the final game of the homestand as we went to Asheville:
Saturday July 7 Augusta Drive v Asheville Tourists:
Got kinda screwed on our schedule and at 4:30 realized the only game we could make was the one on Saturday at 6:05 so no pre game 'graphing.
Sam has never been to a minor league gaem and not caught a ball, usually tossed to him by a player. Thankfully that was the case again tonight as he got a Southern League ball and got Trevor Story to sign it after the game. I took a photo of Sam and Him as well, I will try to post it when I can.

Wow, you and Sam really bring in the goodies! I really want to do what you guys do but the Phils don't sign, and it's a sellout crowd everyday. Meaning a lot of people to compete with. Keep up the awesome stuff!

If you want a great time at a game and want to get tons of autos and live in philly your should be going to Trenton Thunder games.. I go every weekend home games, love it.

I think part of our success is that we go for the visiting team most of the time. THe Braves do not sell out but have 20 times for graphers ont hier side in game. Outside the stdium it varies alot.

Phil Niekro did an appearance at 5/third bank. He was only supposed to sign thier picture only. I got him to inscribe a ball that he already had signed with "HOF 97" and then he gave me a picture signed. Other people got unique stuff signed ( I saw a bobble head get signed). I probably could have had him sign a few cards I had but I did not feel the need to push my luck.
