The Republicans have not had the power to do anything over the last few years but do their best to keep Obama from running the train off the rails.

Conversely, they have had the power to stop Obama from making any progress. Its hard to help out when you voluntarily tie your hands behind your back by signing a pledge of no tax hikes forced on you by a non-elected lobbyist. Good for the GOP, bad for the country.

This is always the argument, but what legislation did the Republicans kill that would have improved the economic condition of this country?

When you are losing (how many jobs a month?) 700,000-800,000. Gaining 1 job is progress.

Yes, but not enough to get the economy growing. Stagnation is not progress.

The President's latest jobs bill for one. The debt ceiling debacle also. What initiatives of the President's have they agreed to?

Stagnation is better than the freefall the economy was in. Look at it this way. If you are being repeatedly punched in the face by an assailant. Wouldn't the fact they stopped hitting you be a sign of progress? It sure would be to me.

Can you kindly point out the bills proposed by the democrats that would have been better for our economy that the Republican house killed?

At what point is stagnation not acceptable?

What jobs bill? You mean another stimulus bill that everyone knows will not have any positive long term economic ramifications and will only create more debt?

    When it is considered progress.
