A man's home is his castle and a man must defend his castle and family by any means neccessary.
I can not say the same for myself. People need to kill animals for food. I know some dont eat meat for whatever reason thats their choice. I dont think its OK to kill animals for no reason, but if it is for food i am all for it.
Just depends on how you are set up. If you have the safe in your room and can open it fast you never know. In my home someone would have to get in my front door, get up some steps, past a locked child gate and to my room before i can wake up, open my safe in my room and thats it, im ready. But its not just about protecting your home. If you have a carry licence this can help anywhere you go. people in this world are crazy and there are bad neighborhoods to go to. Carrying a weapon can prevent people from robbing on the streets, taking your car, or where ever it may be. My brother was a victim of in home robbery and was murdered along with my cousin. He didn't live in the best area, but that's what he could afford. Unfortuanetly this was someone he trusted and not even someone breaking in and shooting. So you just never know what can happen at any time. Anybody can be a bad person, you just never know who you can and cant trust, so making it harder to get guns or banning them or whatever people want to do is not really gonna matter. you just can not weed out all the bad people no matter what you do. What would happen if someone was denied access to guns, but then was shot and killed. Who would be to blame for that one since he was denied the access weapons to protect himself? This is not meant to fight with you, or anybody else. Im just stating some opinions and giving different views on the subject

I'll take it the extra step...by the logic I'm seeing here:
There is NO point in having any laws against (FILL IN THE BLANK)
Because WE ALL KNOW people will still committ (FILL IN THE BLANK)
Changes in laws (like gun control) would be meant to decrease mass shootings like this, not stop them.
Nothing will STOP them -- but that doesn't mean we should do nothing to try to decrease them. Please feel free to message me here about my electronic bay & COMC listings

This country has always had lots of guns but we haven't had the problems with mass shootings until the last 25-30 years.
Figure out what has changed and fix it. My gut feeling is that we're medicating our kids too much. Sure these drugs help some people, but the side effects are horrible and each person reacts differently. General practitioners should not be putting kids on these drugs, this should only be psychiatrists that closely monitor how the child or adolescent reacts to the drug. Just look at these side effects that have been reported by the FDA.
Luvox, Paxil and Zoloft are in a class of drugs called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs). Among the international regulatory agencies issuing warnings on these antidepressants, the FDA issued a Public Health Advisory in 2004 warning that “anxiety, agitation, panic attacks, insomnia, irritability, hostility, impulsivity, akathisia [severe restlessness], hypomania [abnormal excitement] and mania [psychosis characterized by exalted feelings, delusions of grandeur and overproduction of ideas] have been reported in adult and pediatric patients being treated with antidepressants.”

Forget defending yourself! Now you have to defend that low subgrade for the worn corners.
"This card would TOTALLY have graded a 9, but i had to throw it at this dude with a gun so, yeah, it's like a 5 now..."

Actually, the more I've been thinking about that aspect, the more I think drugging kids, for lack of a better term, could be a huge part of it.

I was actually about to post about how drugs play a part in all this, but lost interest in the thread. A lot of people think that helping the sanity of people and giving them help involves strong drugs. A lot of the time, it makes the problem worse or has an effect that is even worse then the problem it was meant to cure. Just as an example, I know for a fact antidepressants can have a terrible effect.
