Once they ban "assault weapons" then they are going to make the argument that semi-automatic handguns and semi-automatic hunting rifles are just as dangerous as "assault weapons" and we need to ban them as well. Big government types like Bloomberg are never happy with taking just a little of your freedom, there is always another power grab they want to make. That's why I don't blame the NRA and all it's supporters for fighting all gun regulations. Give in on one issue and eventually they'll just come back asking for more.

do you not know that the government tried this once before? there was an assault weapons ban before and the guns were still in circulation as pre-ban weapons. some require different licenses to own some dont. my point is everyone i know that owns an ar-15 would still have their ar 15 even if the ban them. all it would change is future purchases of the gun. do some research the government banned them once before and the unbanned them after realizing it didnt work.

Then all those people you know would be criminals and taking their guns away would not be hurting law abiding citizens.
    Done.

    lazy or realistic

taking freedoms because you are scared is not the answer

again 27 people died that day from DD, should we ban it? oh wait, we have!

my big point is your logic comes from fear, not logic.

guns don't kill, cars don't kill, alcohol doesn't kill, it is people

the only ban that will stop this is banning people

and again the worst school killing in US history had nothing to do with guns

and again, the ban will only be for law abiding citizens, the people we should fear less

insanity is called insanity for a reason, you cannot reason with it, nor figure it out, nor stop it

laziness would be blaming an object instead of the human

Everything there makes sense, except trying to tell me my logic comes from fear. Fear of what? Guns? Im not afraid of guns. I don't have to be because I don't live in the US

If I were American I'd be very afraid of guns.

In live in Canada. I'm afraid of bears, not guns.

My point is that saying "it won't work, try nothing instead" is foolish at best.

I'm confused. Were all the gunmen in these mass shootings already criminals? Or were they law-abiding citizens?

He's saying only law abiding citizens would be affected by the ban as a criminal is a criminal and could obviously care less about the ban

Below is my response to the lame and absolutely insane comments that have been made are against banning assault weapons and the related items.

I will make note of you address so that I will not move into your neighbor...think that is the least I can do...

Good luck and Have a nice Day!

And when someone breaks into your house good luck waiting 15 min for police to arrive...And I hope you do not move into my neighbor...might make them a little uncomfortable.

No. I just stay out of the woods and am thankful I live in a nation with an identity that doesn't depend on killing machines.
