yep, they don't stand a chance against me, but I am not concerned with myself, I am more worried aout my elderly neighbors who cannot defend themselves.

I am unsure of the stats, but SOME people who own guns for defense are not paranoid or scared, they are just responsible.

I am sure some of them are just responsible and not paranoid. I am not discussing it with those folks though am I? I am discussing it with people who seem to think what they see on TV shows is reality and have nothing else to offer as debating points other than armed thugs.

I will stress this again since you both fail to acknowledge the truth in it. Criminals only care about getting caught. Alarms draw attention, attention means witnesses, witnesses means capture. Your good Lord knows, I have enough criminals in my extended family to know their mindset. Your best defense against any home invasion is an alarm. If you think otherwise, you are fooling yourself. I only hope you never have to find out.

I always wonder what possesses people to post the garbage they post. Do they actually believe it? Do they think it is funny? Do they understand what each post says about themselves?

There's an old saying: Better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool rather than open it and be proven so. That's what I think of almost every time I see a new "sign" in this thread.
