    i've become so obsessed

maybe it's cause it's not football season and I can't gamble on it all the time haha, but I haven't been this into the hobby since high school. I'm probably more into it now then in high school tbh (5 years ago). I spend a lot of spare time on this website just looking at cards, even stuff from sets I don't collect, players I don't like, or things that are way outta my price range.

That ever happen to you guys? anyone ever left the hobby and then came back with more passion then before?

you're not the only one. That happened to me once i first got back into collecting. It was more in part due to trying track down all of the rare cards on my want list. But for a fact you're not the only one

You're not the only one. I have a tendency to disappear from the hobby for a few months when school starts but by the end of the year/semester Im buying anything I want lol.

I could't agree more, I got my first taste of collecting back in 2006 at the Toronto sports card expo which lasted about a year ( was in Highschool and didn't have much funds to purchase cards) Now that I'm working I find my self constantly browsing Ebay and reading about cards most nights. Over last year I've become addicted to the hobby and I can't think of much else lol

It's actually ridiculous; I had a big collection to begin with, ran into some $ issues (poor student life baby!) and sold some of the better cards (Stamkos YG Exclusive :( )... but I've spent the last 2 months acquiring all of them back AND THEM SOMEEEEE haha. Only card I don't think I'll ever own again is that Stamkos, everything else I have back. I've bought the entire 05/06 Upper Deck Master Set (all YGs and non-GU/Auto inserts) + like 68 GU cards from that year. bought probably 12+ boxes of products and countless other lots off of here and eBay, and my collection is better then before!!! Love it..... SO happy to be back in the hobby

Heh. I'm in one of my broke & disgusted phases, I've started selling off a third of my collection one by one, and it's so depressing that I wound up being high bidder on a 325 jersey/auto/rc lot last night. Because I saw one card I liked in the pictures. So now I'm even deeper in the hole and I have 324 more cards to deal with. It's an addiction :D

Keep the one you want and sell the rest. I saw your thread before and yeah, I feel bad that you need to unload all that stuff but as you've heard by now it's probably for the better. I've been in my own version of that phase before. I'm a server at a restaurant and I can get cash fairly quickly and ill go on ebay binges where I buy like 2 or 3 cards and wind of spending like $300. Then I feel bad and don't buy anything for a few weeks lol.
