Tobacco tax - I would like to see a tax of $20 per pack so that we can stop using other taxes to pay for free health care for people who get cancer from tobacco use. Other than that, a tax is a tax and I do not approve.
Alcohol tax - Same as tobacco. Use the tax money to pay for alcoholism treatment, health issues, etc, but other than that I disapprove.
Drugs - I assume you mean marijuana. As soon as they legalize it I approve of a tax for the same reasons as tobacco and alcohol.
Adult entertainment - I sort of agree with this. I pay higher taxes for the hotel when I go to the beach, luxury taxes for the tickets I buy to go to Busch Gardens, etc. so I see no reason why adult entertainment should get a free pass. With that said, I don't think I should pay higher taxes because I am staying at a hotel at the beach or anything else related to vacation locations.
In case you haven't noticed, I oppose the constant excuse to levy more taxes on people.

I feel exactly the same.
Tax the HELL out of things that are absolutely unnecessary.
IMO, cigarettes, alcohol and if and when marijuana becomes legal, should all be taxed at a VERY high level.
If you can buy a pack of cigarettes for under $10, then we're not taxing it high enough.
And the tax dollars should go (IMO) directly towards cancer research.Last edited by JustAlex; 08-14-2013 at 12:25 AM.

That leaves the door pretty wide open. Cars are not necessary for day to day living and if abused lead to air pollution which can cause health problems for everyone. So all cars should be massively taxed under a "sin tax" excuse? I don't think that is what you mean, but you need to be aware of how open your definition of what should be sin taxed could be used.

I also think as long as abortion remains legal there should be an abortion tax for all medically uneccessary abortions. The procedes can pay for the distribution of contraceptives as well as comprehensive sex ed.

So a woman gets raped and pregnant by the rapist. She wants to get an abortion and now has to pay a tax on top of all of the trauma?
