Looks like Canada wore their red jerseys 3 times in 2010 (Norway, USA, Germany), all of which Marleau played in, so if they had new jerseys for each game it's possible that UD got multiple jerseys to use. Though I'm not sure if they actually used different jerseys from game to game.

A lot of the times players wear a new jersey for each period, so there could be 3 jerseys per game. Could be legit patches from Marleau jerseys

That's pushing it. Why would a company buy 3-4 jersey?,, there's enough fabric in 3-4 for thousands of cards. It belongs to somebody else.

Who is to say that the card companies but all of the jerseys? I know some if them are auctioned off for charity and the like.
But UD could buy one, panini and ITG so that makes 3.
Just saying it is very possible that the patches are legit on the Marleau cards in the original post.

I am sure the NHLPA work with the manufacturer to make sure they do have enough jersey. On special event like someone said they probably change jersey every period so they can each have enough jersey.

Their response, unfortunately;
"Unfortunately we would not be able to disclose that information due to our company policy and my apologies for any inconvenience."

I don't know that I'd get too nutted up on it.
Canada Hockey gave UD an exclusive license and if they're pushing/allowing 'fakes' it's more on Canada Hockey than UD. The pipeline on official hockey memorabilia from a national program is a pretty small supply chain. I would say it's highly likely that UD is working with multiple jerseys from all players from numerous international events. The fact that two patches showed up in one product is another QC challenge for UD, of course, but probably not much more...

Without actual proof either way, the truth is unknown. For now it is merely speculation.

That does not occur in International games.Specially in olympics,each player wears 1 jersey per game,Not per period.
and hockey canada keeps atleast 1 to auction off to raise money for their charity.
As everyone said,this will always be a mystery,no way we gonna find out,i honestly dont believe the jersey cards being 100% legit these days & thats sad :(
