It's been much, much warmer in this part of the country all winter. I mean, it's usually a little warmer than the rest of Canada here, but when southern BC is significantly warmer than Dallas, TX on a January day, call it what you want, something is very wrong. I'd like it found out and fixed if possible. I don't know how to do that, but I do know being more worried about "left" and "right" than anything else will see the earth kill us with our own stupidity.

You're the one who brought up "it's colder in some places this winter" as an argument against global warming (the ignorance of which genuinely makes me laugh) so I pointed out that it's warmer here, which easily negates your argument without having to get into the science of it all, which also refutes your argument.

You then brought up the temperature of where you are, proving beyond a doubt what you think. What you think is wrong, I'm sorry. This isn't a matter of opinion, it's fact, no matter who is paid to say otherwise.

Which is the whole Global warming stance from the left. Again, I say who cares. You couldn't do anything about it even if it was how they portrayed. I don't need to be "enlightened" from anyone on this board.

Here's a view from the scientific perspective...

First off, "Global Warming" is an extremely misleading title for what our world is going through right now. A more proper term is "Climate Change".

We are going through something the Earth has never seen before, a change dramatic enough to not follow any previously recorded scale, regardless of claims made by people who believe this is Earth's natural cycle that this is simply part of a cycle, like previous data has suggested. I'd like to start this by providing truth to the polar ice claim. The polar ice is melting at an alarming rate. Data that someone suggested in this thread was taken during the polar winter, and was funded by a special-interest group. Polar ice does indeed grow larger in the winter, but the problem we're experiencing is that the polar ice is melting at a very much increased rate during polar summers.

I will not debate whether humans are to blame. Do I think we are part of it? From a professional opinion, I can tell you that I absolutely think we are a large part of it. Like I previously stated, this warm up in polar waters is unlike anything we've seen before.

There was also a claim that some places are getting colder. This is indeed true. This is also the reason why calling this "Global Warming" is extremely misleading. The truth is, climate change will make some places warmer, and some places colder. The Earth doesn't warm and cool the same way...That goes against everything we know about climates.

I can elaborate more if needed, but I just wanted to address some of the claims that I think are false.
