Huh? You just said a couple posts ago there was no debate among scientists about climate change so why do they need to agree that there is a problem? You seem to be using the excuse that nobody has come up with a solution on the fact that people can't agree on something but the people who know everything don't care what somebody in some hick town thinks. So why haven't they come up with a solution if they all agree? Do they need to know everyone on SCF agrees to move forward with their projects and ideas from stopping the world from ending? Does that excuse make sense to anybody else?

Seems like the two solutions that the two political parties have come up so far are:

Republicans say do nothing about it
Democrats say do nothing about it except tax people more

Pretty much par for the course from both parties but I'm still baffled why outside of one scientist on CNN a few years back I haven't heard anybody come up with a solution to this problem. Anybody else hear any actual solutions?

He didn't get the answer he thought was coming. That should explain everything from here on out.

Scientists are pretty much in agreement on solutions. Unfortunately, there is no political will to do what is necessary in most countries. If all political parties would agree that there is a problem and there are solutions then you could begin to cooperate on informing the public, which would help initiate the changes needed.

For the sake of bringing in all the info, what are these solutions scientists agree on.

Also, out of curiosity, what is everyone's take on David Suzuki?

    Really? That's all you've got?

I'm not the one who came in not understanding what was said but needing to talk about it anyway. That is a juvenile act. Please don't continue this juvenile garbage and just accept you didn't understand the post.

Yes, our average temperatures have stayed that way, but climate change does not simply raise or lower the temp. It makes weather unpredictable. We're seeing it this year alone.

The ice is bigger this year, this is true, but this is not unexpected. Temperatures are extreme in summer, and extreme in winter. The North is just getting out of a brutally cold winter.

I understand that, but I guess my point is that we don't know the cause. I don't debate that the weather is changing. I lean more toward the Biblical reasoning to that personally. I don't think there's a whole lot we can do about it. The issue I have is all the money/tax proposals we keep seeing. It's just a rally cry to me.

Again. The problem is people focusing on politics. Again, you are focusing on politics. You are so insistent on "left" and "right" you don't even care what the actual issue is.

I'm not trying to enlighten you, I'm just calling you out for what you're doing. You couldn't be enlightened anyway. You still think I'm arguing politics. When you don't even know what conversation you're in, you show exactly why you're there. Please, discuss all you want. Campaign somewhere else.

It wouldn't be political if the left didn't make it, force it down our throats, tell us to pay for it..... There is nothing you can do about the weather.

Jim, I respect your response, but here are a few issues.

one, it is your opinion and other just as qualified people have different ones.
in the 70's the main stream scientists said we were going into the next ice age, science was wrong. we have heard everything from we would all be dead by 2014 to the world would be flooded. an educated guess is still just a guess.
we have how many years of records to compare to? not enough to determine anything.
the fact is we have had multiple ice ages and multiple warming periods. the polar ice caps use to extend into america, they melted away do to warming.

Exactly. Science is always a guessing game. Don't get me wrong, I think science can be an amazing thing. But it's wrong way more then it's right.

You're still part of the problem.

You're still part of the problem.

And I will continue to be as long as the left politicizes it.

Kind of ironic that you typed that on a keyboard thousands of miles away. I wonder what's more important? The times science got the internet wrong, or the eventual time they got it right?
