I always wait at least 2 weeks. I have asked many people if they have gotten my package yet. Most of the time they have and have neglected to leave feedback.
The reverse has also happened. The last time it happened it was with a must send first trader. After a couple weeks they started asking if I had got their package yet and I said no but was willing to wait. Wound up waiting a couple months and got a couple more inquiries from the trade partner. As it was a purchase for me the other guy probably felt like I was ripping them off. When the cards did show I need not to check the date stamp on the stamps as the reason was obvious as to why the cards were late.

Point is be patient and comunicate

I apologize for being off topic, but why does the post office have a stamp that says "missent to Thailand"? Does it seriously happen that often that they need a specific stamp for that reason.

Actually, that is not a US postal Service stamp. Believe it or not that parcel got missent to Thailand and it was stamped there. Sadly, It is not rare to see a Europe to Europe letter or package that winds up in the USA. Letters going from Germany to Finland. Czech Republic to Czech Republic. Much of it has to do with the fact that letters and parcels are sorted by machines which apply no logic. A frequent offender in my area is Sweden. For example, one postal delivery code for Stockholm, Sweden is 10420. A machine might read that and send the letter to New York City.
