Expert Help/Assistance Requested
Greetings,
I'm not a collector of hockey cards and have little expertise in the subject. A small number of cards were given to me several years ago. I have one card in particular that I am looking for some guidance as to if it is worth anything. It is a error card, but not one of the ones listed as a known error card (corrected or otherwise). It has Pro Set 90-91 Neil Wilkinson #465 on the front, and an NBA Charles Edward Davis on the back. I have included a photo.
Misprint Wilkinson - Davis.jpg
So what I'm trying to determine is if this card is unique or special. From what I have been able to research, errors like this usually occur when the factory is changing between printing runs, and should never have entered circulation. I also understand that anything Pro Set is mostly worthless. That being said, could this possible be the first pro-set hockey card ever printed? The first of the hockey card bubble?
Please advise,
Thank you

That's really weird (obviously Proset & Hoops used the same printing company).
What's worth: I have no idea.
What could it be worth: Still have no idea.
There are a lot of big money error cards from that 90-91 Pro Set series. A Paul Gillies sold for over $300 on eBay recently. The big question would be... is this an error that these proset junkies would be after? I'm not even sure who you'd contact for that... as I don't know any of them.

Not sure, but if it were my card I would post it on eBay for a ridiculously high price with an 'or best offer' option and see what kind of offers I got. Worst case scenario is that nobody is interested and you only lost a few bucks.

Yup....
Something silly like $600 BIN/BO. That will cost you 30 cents (for the listing) and you'll see if anyone is even a bit interested.

You already have the corrected version of this Neil Wilkinson card. Ha, ha.
The Original Error had him in Jersey #5, not #35 like this corrected issue. As for the back, it says nothing. You may have a 1/1 error, or you may have an error in the thousands of copies. Who's to know.
Book Value Corrected or Uncorrected - .5 cents.

Book value on this one is 5 cents too:

Not saying this error is worth anything, just pointing out that there are a few proset collectors out there that pay crazy amounts of money for the right errors.

I know all about the Gillis. I just counted one column of errors in that set and I could not count that high. Lol.
There is a card error in the 1990-91 ProSet about every 15 cards. The Gillis, with the nose-bleed still books at .5 cents.
If you are a fool and willing to pay $300.00 then knock yourself out. The person that paid $300.00 will one day have a tough time selling that for .5 cents.

ha!
I mean, I wouldn't pay those prices for those cards... but if there are people out there that will pay dollars like that, I would also say suggest it's foolish to think the card is only worth 5 cents because the book tells you it is. If two people want to duke it out for your card, you win!

I just had two guys high-stick themselves on a card last week on eBay. It was a 10 Buck Patrick Roy insert that ended up selling for $5.75 when all previous eBay sales for the 60 days prior had been around $2.00.
I could not believe the stupidity
