SP authentic and series 1 are the only two releases I get excited about, I typically buy about 3-4 boxes of each, and with the double rookie class I've been looking forward to the release for months. That being said after looking at some of the breaks, I'm pretty sure buying a couple boxes is only going to end in disappointment, count me out.

I suspect that people are feeling a little bummed out about the volume of redemption rookies that they're seeing. It's no doubt frustrating to know that the biggest hit (and with no Crosby content, it doesn't beat a MacKinnon) of the product won't actually be in anybody's hands for some time.
That said, I'm really stoked with brooaar's break. LOL You'll see why in a week or so.
I'll still be down to do some stuff with the product when I hit up the LCS later in the week. Plenty of nice Habs stuff in there for me to chase, even if the Gallagher and Price content are...redemptions.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

No, just not that exciting.
Depends on your expectations. I guess it's like driving a new carry to work. It is what it is. Another year of spa.
You can't see the autos on a lot of the cards. Too busy design. Idk. Some cool stuff too but already waiting for ultimate. Did two breaks and don't care to do more.
Liked showcase and anthology better.Last edited by KingKuba; 06-19-2014 at 05:52 AM.

usually think SPA is one of the best looking releases of the year but have to say have not been impressed at all with what I have seen.
still being the big Lanche fan I hope in time to acquire a FWA MacKinnon for my collection ... always a joy when your team gets a top draft pick, not so much when it comes to hockey card buying time

I haven't really been following it, and my feelings about UD are summed up in my sig below, but this looked like a ton of fun and a pretty decent return.......

even if the return is good (few and far between from what I have seen) card design is still a top factor for me and I just think this year's designs in SPA are very lackluster
the box art looks more like the SPA I know and love than the cards

Personally I like the FW's and FWA's, I like last year's Limited auto's better tho........... but hey, it's been a WHILE since any new UD product, so the Ryan Kesler base card I got last night looks fine to me :D
