Pens Cleaned House
They don't have enough players for a game of shinny or a tree-house meeting.
Gone
Shero
Bylsma
Orprik
Niskanen
Engelland
Glass
Neal
Jokinen
Janitor
Vitale
Who'd I miss? Good Grief

You missed Vitale. The only player that Pittsburgh could have and should have brought back besides Tanner Glass. They have basically no physical pressence and he would have brought that on the 4th line. Yes he doesnt score much but he sure energizes the team.
Really couldnt contend with any of the Contracts Niskanen, Orpik, and Jokinen got. But yes they absolutely cleaned house and Im not sure I like it.Flickr: Hidden Content

Jokinen will be missed. On shootouts and in key scoring situations. But matching 4 Million would be difficult for anyone. Also hard to find guys exactly like Tyler Kennedy at a cheap price that light a fire come playoff time.

When you see the Contracts Niskanen and Jokinen signed you will understand why lol. Not a fan of the Neal trade and HATE seeing Vitale go.

Let me ask you this are the Pens are better or worse team than what they ended the season with including Bylsma and Shero. I think they are a far worse team right now and to be honest I am very dissapointed.
I hated Bylsma with a passion but I would rather have him and that team back compared to what we have now. Thats my Opininon.

Everyone had to know that following what I think was the fourth (fifth?) year of underperforming in the post-season that there were going to be VERY few players who wouldn't be on the chopping block. They brought in a new gm, a new coach, and are now rebuilding all the players around the "core" of the team. It remains to be seen how this will play out because frankly anytime you start making massive overhauls it's hard to tell how well the new parts will gel together.
