I am doing very similar to what your doing. I have very little interest in Yakupov, but sure do hope he gets his game going within the next few years. Its fun to have a small project.
Also have a sheet like yours. Mine are in USD, and do not have shipping attached to them. I dont know exactly what I paid if there are doubles, just an average for the cards I have.
Heres what my list looks like:

He's still overpriced, if he wasn't #1 pick his cards would be like $3.
No difference between him and someone like kucherov. ...
Probably won't even end up top 20 in this double rookie class when it's all done.
Still some hope I guess...

I would say I have the biggest Yakupov collection out there. Up to 370 singles and over 60 doubles.
Now is the time to buy. he had some injuries last year and a different coach than he has ever had to deal with.
All the talk around the team this year is that he is training like crazy so I'm picking up whatever I can now.
Who knows though. may all be kindling :)

I actually think the time to buy boat has left the docks ..... you can still see it from the docks .... but ive noticed a lot of cards from him slowly going up ( not just the smart people on SCF are gravitating to him =P )

Actually theirs still a lot of good deals out their to be had like last night I picked up another future watch auto for 32 bucks not even a hour later two more sold for over 50. And then I got his panini prime /25 for in the 30s and the previous two sold for 70 and 60. Just gotta keep a close eye on things and not get into a bidding war

To the OP. He sucked last year and he was a total cry baby about it (playing time, we remember). Many people have hit it square on the head. First pick or not you play like crap on a crap team and complain like he did why would there be any value in his cards? I agree that they are still worth too much. Those investing in his cards to make a buck are playing with fire. Especially if you're buying cards when a product has just come out like those sp authentic purchases. Just my opinion but that shouldn't be what the hobby is about anyways.

Way I look at it NO cards are a forsure investment and the hobby shouldn't be looked at a investment cause if you think hockey cards are a investment you'll be working the rest of your life I thought I would just take a chance buying low like a few others are doing and them when the season starts up if he starts to play good theirs gonna be abunch of people jumping on the band wagon oiler fans are known for that example Sam gagner after he had that 8 point night his cards were selling like hot cakes I'm not looking to retire after selling these cards just hoping to make a little extra money for the first time in the hobby

OMG... I'm a season ticket holder for Edmonton Oilers and here's what I noticed:
Yakupov needs attitude adjustment. He is all about "Me, Me, Me" and he tried to do everything himself. Carry the pucks into offensive zones by himself and get crushed by the other teams. It works in junior but it doesn't work in the big league, NHL.
He doesn't use his teammates, and his teammates doesn't know what to do with him. His defense doesn't exist and becomes a liability, just like Ovie except Ovie scores and Yakupov doesn't.
For a "superstar" and a First Overall Pick, he should be excelling on a crappy team but he doesn't work for it. In fact, other young players like David Perron is ahead of him. Yakupov will continue to be on the fourth line or on the press box. (he holds his own fate)
I see him sticking around in North America for a couple more years or his contract ends before he jumps into the KHL.

Perron is ahead of him because he was a rookie in 07/08 ..... I dont know how you can even compare the 2 =S
Of course Yak needs an adjustment ..... but every single player on the Oilers last season was aweful. The Oilers would continually say they would have no problem scoring, but would keeping the puck out of the net. Hall / Eberle / RNH / Perron / Gagner / Yakupov ..... all didnt do very well under that coach ( I thought he was an idiot and a major problem )
And lets be honest ...... 80%+ of the Oilers are defensive liabilities ....
Hang Time - A hobby is whatever you want it to be. If you want to just spend money and collect, thats fine. If your hobby is to buy now with the intentions of selling later, that is also a hobby. Some people can make extra money to fund their hobby .... some cant. There is no right or wrong way to have a hobby, just your own way.
