As a staff member, I pretty much figure I have .0000000001% more leeway than was given Wick or Centerhice before they were shown the door or before Alex was insulted into pretty much disappearing or Veg was destroyed mostly by y'all and partially by himself. I don't much care about anyone's hopes and dreams and expectations of me, I'm a 46 year-old man who collects hockey cards and I am what I am. I know more about America than you might think though, I live on the border and I visited quite frequently until I got blacklisted by a Super-Duper-Awesome!! border agent with an axe to grind over an incident 23 years ago. But in every visit to Washington or Oregon or California or Vegas, not ONE time did I ever meet a Republithug or a Dumbocrat, just a bunch of working-class Americans. THAT'S how I see America, from that and the CBC and CTV and CNN and the National Post and the Globe & Mail and Alternet and Politifact and even Fox when I want to see Hannity or Bill-O stick their heads even further up their butts. I see miles instead of kilometres and I see chicken-fried steak on a lot more menus but that's it. Give or take a bit, we are the exact same people, not "outsiders"...........Still, I know more about you than you do about me, though I realize some of that is due to your complete lack of caring about anything outside your borders.
Even if I did see the reports about the zombie-attack on Pittsburgh on the Rachel Maddow show on Friday because I watch MSNBC 24/7 in my mom's basement.
The question remains......... why is it hunky-dory for the NRA to create an atmosphere of fear & paranoia over the non-existent threat of the federal government taking away guns from law-abiding citizens which results in the prices of guns n' ammo rising because of a sudden "shortage" and who profits from that MOST OF ALL?
What ARE you going to do after the last liberal is gone from these boards anyways? Sit around and high-five each other? Goodness me, it'll be a regular Algonquin Round Table around here...........
Don't y'all worry about me, I'm self-deportin'! Maybe I'll see y'all at the next Operation 'Murican Spring or Million-Conservative-March tho, if I kin find a ways to sneak back into yore country!

Considering the commonality of pro-hockey, anti-America and generally lacking in knowledge of what he is talking about, you would think so, but sadly no, there really are two of them.

I am not going to bother reading much of your nescient blathering. I can see from the part that you decided to highlight as red that you entirely missed the big picture. I was complaining about something I was buying for $2 going up to $7. I wasn't complaining about the taxation, I was complaining about the 350% price increase. Do us all a fav and try to actually be aware of what the discussion is about instead of popping in halfway thru the game and dropping some pointless crap that totally detracts from the conversation.

I overlooked this in the midst of the pointless posts. It really isn't about America being scared. I know the liberal talkingheads like to harp about how scared America is, but in reality it is about America realizing that we have a presidential regime bent on taking away Constitutional rights via backdoor means. I am in gun shops at least once a week and I never, ever hear people talking about being afraid of the government, but they are always talking about availability and increasing prices. I am not looking to buy bulk .22 ammo because I am afraid of the government, I want to buy it because my son uses it to squirrel hunt and I can intellectually surmise that if it went from $2 to $7 in 6 months thanks to Obama & Co. policies then it is logical that I will be paying $15 for what I used to pay $7 for in a year or two. Buying bulk now saves dollars later.
In addition, a lot of the guns that are being bought up now are being bought because Obama and his cronies have laws in the works to ban them. However, these laws include grandfather clauses that allow you to keep these banned guns if you already own them. Again, net result is people are buying now because they think they won't be able to buy later.

I disagree with that one. Obama isn't full of poo, he is full of hot air. I swear he can talk for a solid hour and not say one significant thing that couldn't have been conveyed in a single sentence.
