Any word yet on the schedule of players signing?
I'm assuming they are going to have 1-2 big names per time slot.
My son really only wants to go if he is able to meet David Ortiz, as that's his favorite player.

My understanding is that your $40 entrance guarantees you 1 autograph and then you would have to enter a "virtual waiting room" to have a chance at any more than that. Is this what everybody else understands about this event or am I mistaken?

From what they have said so far is they don't know what times players will show up for the signing/photo ops. I don't know if that is a bunch of BS or they just aren't telling anyone.
The big question is what players sign and what players only do photo ops. Do the good players just do photo ops?
I will tell you I'm a little disappointed in the whole thing. I bought a couple tickets at first and then more after they released the time slots. Also with me trying to get as many players as possible since I live 6 hours from Boston, I had to choose one ticket per time slot. My wife will be with me and if someone like Papi is only doing photos, I'm going to have to ask a person behind me to take a picture with my photo (not what I want to do). I haven't figured out what I'm doing with my wife lol.

That is what the website says. I would imagine that each time slot would have multiple players signing at once and some doing photo ops.
I'll tell you that if I spent hundreds of dollars in travel, tickets, etc. and end up getting Sam Horn, Bill Lee, Zeke Spruill, Craig Breslow, and Anthony Varvaro, I'm going to be pissed! Not like the Red Sox will care.

Where are you seeing on the website that it guarantees you 1 autograph? Any mention of it being autograph of your choice or is it just luck of the draw?
I really wish they would have been more forthcoming about the details. I've called twice, and both times I got "we're not sure yet how it's going to work."
I'd be happy to buy a few tickets if it meant giving my son the chance for a photo op with Ortiz, but I'm not going to risk it at this point unless more details come out.
I don't have the drive that you do (only 2 1/2 hours here), but some if it would be nice if the Red Sox could provide more details.

I just looked and the guaranteed one autograph was on my email when I selected my time slots. I'm trying to put the communications they have released into context. My best guess is there is a room that will have the players, you will have to wait in line and won't know who the player(s) are until you get to the front of the line. I imagine that if they released the players names in certain time slots, then it could get crazy.
Yeah, I feel your frustration. The details have been vague and nobody knows how its going to work.
I have baseballs to get signed and will be disappointed to waste a baseball on lower level players or coaches that I have no interest in getting. I'm just hoping Papi is signing and not just taking photo ops.

At the end of the weekend after paying for 2 nights in hotel and a two trips on the ferry. I'm starting to think I will be leaving disappointed.
But, I will be doing my best to get as many auto's as I can get.
Look at who is scheduled to appear at the panels. Some players may sign before and after.
Also consider Sunday during the clinicsLast edited by howiek; 01-19-2015 at 08:22 PM.

I concur. I'll be satisfied with some of the main players. Just hopefully they are signing and not just taking photos.

Something I just read was that Pedro is scheduled to do a show in Jersey that Saturday from 11:30 to 1:00. That is a minimum 3 hr trip by car with good traffic. Unless he flies?

Looks like a MAB show. I'm hoping he is the final time slot then!
