Crazy to think of the "Russian factor" when Ovi has put in way more effort to build the league than Crosby. I use to like Crosby but can't help but lose respect for him year after year.

he had 7 days off to recover and get himself better, jus t what the team and he needed.
glad he is back at his best and is felling 100%, it the best for the team when he is.
as for the ovy comment above, not really sure what he has done more than Crosby or anyone for that matter.
GO PENS GO!!!

Uh have ANY clue??? Ovy puts on a great show for the fans at Every all-star game, than he lobby's to be picked last to win a car...
he doesn't get picked last but Honda finds out why he wanted the car, for a little girl with down's syndrome who previously asked
Ovy on a "date," which he obliged...and now he gives her family a new car!!!
And that is just One example, essentially Ovy is Fan FRIENDLY, and get this, the dude has a Great personality...as for Crosby, maybe,
maybe not, we don't know because as you say, its all about himself and best for the Penguins, like you said...and screw the fans, and
the All-Star game which isn't about the Kid and the Penguins.

never understood this statement . These guys will continue on life despite losing your "respect" and this goes for all professional players. There will be always be someone there willing to step in when you stop supporting .

Yup, will always be Pen's fan boys to step in kissing his behind no matter, so why bother doing anything
beyond what is best for himself?Last edited by mooneyes; 01-28-2015 at 11:17 PM.

Key word "professional" which means much more than getting paid to do a job.
These guys will continue on life despite losing your "respect" and this goes for all professional players.
That statement is complete nonsense. There are countless players in all the major sports who give of themselves because they believe it's the right thing to do. They want respect and they earn it by their deeds. An athlete's legacy is measured by much more than records, think Barry Bonds when compared to Deter Jeter or Ernie Banks. Why is it so hard to understand that respect is one of the greatest compliments any human being can earn? The point you seem to be missing is that Crosby gives off an aura that he is bigger than the game. To use your words "there will always be someone willing to step in" that's true of players too. There's a reason why Gretzky, Howe and Mario are recognized by kids born long after their careers have ended.........

He has also NEVER missed a all star game he was selected for. Its blatantly obvious he respects the fans more than Crosby. Let me ask you this. If Ovi was Canadian born who would the fans admire more ? Ovi...
