I tend to not buy into any theory and run around trumpeting it as proven fact. You do what you want.
I personally find it comical that folks like yourself find it totally illogical that an astral being created everything, but totally logical that a few particles of matter bumped into each other creating this "big bang" that resulted in the sudden appearances of millions of planets, stars, moons and asteroids that span trillions of miles (note that scientist have never been able to bump particles of anything resulting in even a small bang and the creation of anything).
OH MY GOD!
How do you keep reading these idiotic liberal propaganda websites and buying into every figment of cow manure that they write? Let me help.
Religious Right Not Happy With GOPs New Birth Control Platform
And for your reading pleasure...the actual platform declaration from the GOP website LINK in which I am unable to find any reference to abstinence at all.

I love how you address the "theories" comment. So I gather you distrust gravity too? That's what your implying.
As for the BBT versus Creationism. The only comedy is the lack of ANYTHING to support one of them and your implication that they are equal in stature. That's funny.
That LINK is interesting reading Duane. Take a look at page 36
We renew our call for
replacing “family planning” programs for teens with
abstinence education which teaches abstinence until
marriage as the responsible and respected standard
of behavior. Abstinence from sexual activity is the
only protection that is 100 percent effective against
out-of-wedlock pregnancies and sexually-transmitted
diseases including HIV/AIDS when transmitted sexually.
It is effective, science-based, and empowers
teens to achieve optimal health outcomes and avoid
risks of sexual activity.

I'm just reading what you typed and am responding to it. You said that I said my vote was bribable and that is not what I said. I'm perfectly aware that money is not the only way to bribe. Thanks for the info though, fella.

you didn't have to ask me how I'd vote because I made that clear right after I said that I'd take what he was handing out to try to sway my vote, but not vote for him, even if I had originally planned to do so.

I label myself a liberal because for the most part it is aligned with the way I view society....and that is that one should be able to do literally anything one wants to do as long as rights are not infringed.
I would say then you do not care about society and just want to do anything you want.
also I would say then why should I pay taxes for someone else not to work?
They deny evolution which is accepted by over 99% of life scientists.
they deny human evolution, which how humans evovled and what spurred it is hardly agreed upon.
I would bet you are the type who reads the works of Dawkins and sees it as fact, when the reality is, many, many scientists and theories show Dawkins to be incorrect.
They deny Climate change which is also accepted by the overwhelming majority of scientists that study that field.
they deny global warming is a direct result of humans, global warming has already changed to the now "climate change" and yet the same scientists you speak of know the climate on the earth has changed many times, and humans had nothing to do with those changes.
humans have/do effect the climate, but not at the alarming rate you people would like to make it seem like.
They deny other scientific theories (mostly) because it contradicts with their religions.
name some
and if your going to link something as a fact to back you up, I would suggest a better source.
gravitational theory
I would suggest doing some studying, does gravity work by the earth pulling us down or space pushing us down?
so how gravity works was questioned by one of the greatest minds ever, and he came to a different conclusion. Hmm, funny how that works.
The issue is you see theory as a fact, whereas science teaches theory to be a current paradigm and thus can change, so a theory is not a fact.
If you want to argue science then we can do that but I would suggest knowing a bit more about it before you venture down that road.
I have always seen science and religion going hand and hand and have taken the time to try and know as much as I can about both and I still do.
If you could see my current bookmarks you would see more science than religious links.
NO, it's NOT!

I'm not making this stuff out....how do you not know this?
http://www.heritage.org/issues/sex-e...and-abstinence
Teens who abstain from sex have improved life outcomes. But today’s culture promotes casual sex, including through federally funded comprehensive sex education. Early sexual activity is associated with outcomes that make young people more likely to depend on government. Abstinence education offers a rare alternative voice, and research has shown its effectiveness.
see, I can find links too!
The facts are, the more liberal we have become, the higher price our youth has paid. I would say it is a mix of the two, we need to encourage abstinence but also educate on safe practices.

Jay - the facts are: Alex made a claim about the GOP and abstinence education and YOU called it an assumption. Duane agreed with you and then provided the link PROVING Alex's assertion was not an assumption. I see no acknowledgement of that in this last post. Skipped right over it and went on to arguing the merits of it, rather than it's existence in the GOP platform.
