I too an excited for this release.
As a Senators fan I am happy to see they are well represented.

I like that it is a 100 base card set, I think the most McDonalds ever did was mid 50s.
This makes it feel more authentic to collect (ie, you'll come across several inserts along your way to finishing off the base set).
I imagine it will take at least 50-60 packs to complete a base set.

I also like that the Jersey and Auto cards are hard to come by, it will be a very nice hit if you are able to snag one.

I feel bad for our hockey loving friends down south, but if hockey was as popular are baseball, football, nascar, basketball, ncaa anything, etc then perhaps it would happen.
In Canada we are being rewarded for being such loyal and die-hard hockey fans, and no better place to sell the cards than Tim Horton's.

    Can't wait.

I'm sure the majority of Tim Hortons have 0 employees that know anything about cards.

Anyways... kinda surprised there is only one Tim Horton card in this release. I will definitely be buying a few packs a day for a while upon release and might put the entire set together. Who knows. Happy about this release though since McDonalds is not doing it anymore.

The above statement says it all for CDN hockey card collectors and hockey fans.

I will definitley be buying lots of packs and hopefully be able to trade both base and inserts I get double on SCF. It is going to take a lot of coin if you try to buy enough packs to collect all of the inserts.

I thought that was a pretty sweet touch on their part.

It's great to see so much excitement and enthusiasm for this release. In a world where we poo-pooh "dollar bin jersey cards," single-colour patches, and lame autographs of 3rd liners, a product that costs a dollar and will be primarily driven by inserts is the hottest thing going right now.

    Just what the hobby needed.

The looks I used to get for my McDonald's Canada runs!

I used to make a lunch run for my Mickey D cards, but my job situation has changed since then. I hope I can still get some packs.
