I'll respond with what I said last year, in this same thread, and how I did..... then with a follow up on this years:
1. Keep adding to the Ranford Collection
2. Keep adding to my All Time Oilers autograph collection. I am down to just 15 names (not including guys from this year) to have a signature of every player to have ever been on the team. I would be thrilled if I could get that list down to 10 (or less!)
3. Keep adding to my UD Oilers Collection Set. Would like to pick up more of the banners, logos, and autos that I'm still missing.
4. Finish off of UD Series 1/2 Collections. That's the Series 1/2 sets from every year. I'm really close.
5. Started some other 90s master sets, would like to get closer to finishing them.
6. Do another 80s OPC set
7. No more new projects!
There's only a handful of 14-15 Ranford cards I did not add to my collection... haven't been able to track them down. Added more pieces from prior years too, including some big 1/1s, and some other very rare pieces (a couple of triple autos come to mind). This was a success.
All Time Oilers? I references that I was down to 15, while not including guys from that season. If I ignore this season and last, I'm missing only 5 players. There's a few managment types I'd like to add too, and I suspect they were included in the 15. I'm calling this a success though.
I kept adding to my UD Oilers Collection Set, though this has slowed down big time. Hard to find cards I still need, unless I want to pay through the nose for them (and I don't, lol)
I did finish off all of my UD Series 1/2 Collections
90s Master sets? I don't recall where exactly I was at, but I've been doing well over the past year at crossing cards off lists from different ones I've been working on.
Another 80s OPC set - Didn't do it. Oh well.
No new projects. Failed, lol. I started lots of little ones.
Goals for this year?
More Ranford stuff, for sure!
More Oilers Autos: Bob Dupuis, Mike Toal, Alex Tidey, Tommy Lehmann, Bill McDougall.
Can I cross at least two names off this list over the next 12 months? All five would be amazing.
Pick away at 94-95 Score Master Set: I need 4 Team Canada (of 24), 7 Check It (of 18), 4 The Franchise (of 26), and 5 Top Rookie Redemption Cards (the unredeemed pack inserted ones) of 10. That's a total of 20 Cards. Can I get it down to 10 (or less?)
I say this every year, but I'd like to do another 80s OPC set. Not sure which one.
Other 'Player Collections': I have no interest in collecting anyone else to the degree I've collected Bill Ranford, but I have a growing interest in collecting some of my other "favorites" from Oilers years past. Doug Weight is the first one that comes to mind (I have been adding more of his cards recently) but I could name other guys too, like Jason Arnott, Bill Gurien, Curtis Joseph, Mike Greir, Todd Marchant, Rem Murray, and (of course) Ryan Smyth. The Oilers teams of 96 & 97 were awesome. Then there's the crew that went to the finals in 2006.... Smyth is the one carry over, but Shawn Horcoff, Dwayne Roloson, Chris Pronger, and a whole long list of others. What would I collect? I don't know. It would only be Oilers cards. How crazy to go? No idea. I probably shouldn't do it, lol.
I'd also like to start going through some of my more random cards (nice stuff that I keep for me) and start to think about what I really want to own, lol. I just moved, and moving all the stuff I've got - it wasn't exactly fun. Tells me that I have too much.

^ Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing Dwayne "Roli" Roloson getting some new found hobby love! That 2006 oilers team was amazing! Been a fan of the Oilers since then, and also picked up a few Roloson's along the way. (Fun Goalie to collect).
Anyways, I have just 5 simple goals for 2016:
1) Improve my Enroth PC to 50% completion or higher (currently sitting around the 30% mark).
2) Trade more, Buy less.
3) Build a small goalie-related insert/memorabilia set.
4) Continue to make an effort to get more involved with online forums, connect with fellow collectors, make new friends, pay it forward etc.
5) Have FUN! :) (Seems simple, but stepping back and realizing what the hobby is all about can be hard at times, especially when hard earned money is involved. Have fun everybody!)Jhonas Enroth Card Collector & Host of the Hidden Content

My goals for 2016 will be to finish the sets I'm collecting before starting new ones! I'm bad for that...

My goals for 2016 are all about focusing my collection on quality and not quantity. I have over 10,000 New York Rangers cards and while I want to continue to grow my PC, I want to do it in a more controlled way.
My goals are:
1. Stop collecting Rangers cards from every set that comes out, and only collect cards from sets I actually like. I have already started doing this and am enjoying the freedom from collecting everything new.
2. Purge Rangers cards that don't fit into my PC (i.e. random inserts, cards from sets I don't like). I have already started doing this and have started reducing the size of my PC (a little bit).
3. Focus on my Dan Blackburn PC. I decided to collect a Rangers goalie who 1. only played from the Rangers, 2. has a reasonable amount of cards, and 3. is unlikely to appear in future sets, meaning the number of cards is fixed. I am enjoying my PC so far and have almost 200 of the ~475 cards.
4. Focus on collecting Rangers goalies and add auto cards of goalies I don't have yet, specifically Vanbiesbrouck and Rayner.

A few goals for the upcoming year:
1) Sell or trade all of my player PCs, including my Toews collection. I just don't have the time to work on player PCs and sets.
2) Try to find the Gilbert Perreault card that will completed my 2004 Legendary Signatures auto set.
3) Work on a few other sets (various sports) that I've been trying to complete for several years.
4) Keep plugging away at my Ultimate Collection project, trying to get all autographed rookies from every year. By the end of 2016, I'd like to be at 70% completion.

My hobby goals for 2016:
1. Reach 800 Toews cards (Only ~100 cards to go!)
2. Bust less boxes (would say wax in general but it wouldn't be a hobby without breaking packs!)
Here's to a cheerful 2016!
