The first thing that came to mind when I saw the patch was that it most likely wasn't from a standard game-used jersey, as the shark's head size would be inconsistent with other notable examples we have seen on SCF (as Sharky94 has eluded to). On top of that, rarely do we see the San Jose Sharks logo embroidered with an orange background.
However, keeping in mind other options that Topps may have access to, while staying within "Used Memorabilia" definitions, I pondered the possibility of salvaging the patch in question from Roenick's hockey pants (or outer shell) from when he was a member of the Sharks (between 07-09).
Digging around Google Images, Getty Images, and Chris Creamer's SportsLogos.net, I can see the orange and black shield with the full-bodied shark may be your best bet to the origins of the patch.
(Full disclosure: I hope that your card, Cunnuc, is authentic and not tampered with, but my comments above can't guarantee whether that is the case or not. -Fingers crossed and best of luck-

Very nice McBones, I have yet to see that patch. I saw a similar 25th Anniversary patch but did not have the orange background, I also couldn't find a picture of that logo in an actual game. I totally overlooked the patches on the pants though so there is still some light at the end of the tunnel :)
I should get the card in hand some day so I can actually feel the patch :)Master List: Hidden Content

Based on the thread quality/count of the logo it appears to be fake. Probably taken from a hat.

They had a shoulder patch like that on one of their third jerseys. But I think a shoulder patch would still be too big for that piece. I had never noticed the pants patch before.
Or maybe a tie or something like that. Feeling the material would probably help to figure out what it is.SHARKS and CAPITALS Fan +++ Tomas Hertl cards: 512 & counting Hidden Content ...... Hidden Content

I think McBones is on to something. This looks like it's probably from the Easton logo on the other leg.

Nice! Thanks so much for posting that image, Rockin Robbie. I searched for about a month off an on and hadn't found a single patch version of any of the 100+ jerseys in this set. I would find it extremely odd for someone to fake 2 Jeremy Roenick patches from a Baseball set :D
Thanks for the help guys. 1 more month of this card on comc and it gets added to my PC. Love collecting players I grew up watching and Roenick is one of the few players I've liked even more AFTER he stopped playing. Love his persona and view of the game. It's players that dedicate their life to the game that warrants their millions of $ in salary that I hold in high regard.
