I'd like to think that if the league refrained from putting McDavid in Toronto, they wouldn't put Matthews in Montreal. Fair is fair! If the Habs land Matthews, someone may have to talk me off a ledge. I'm not sure I could take it!
In other news, I've invested in McCarron, Hudon, and de la Rose in one of my fantasy keeper leagues. Go figure!

You're welcome. I just have to think that this is more likely than someone waking up in the morning, putting their pants on, and then thinking "You know what my organization is missing? John Scott. I think I'm going to trade for him today."
Toronto doesn't save the NHL from any embarrassments though..... they are one :) Maybe not quite to Edmonton's level though, sadly.

Holy, I will notify the local hospital burn unit that somebody's on their way for treatment.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

^ I'm loving this thread already!
Very odd trade though. Definitely came out of nowhere ! Now that's some All-Star worthy sneakiness.Jhonas Enroth Card Collector & Host of the Hidden Content

Please ignore my draft conspiracy nonsense.... but for reals, let's look at what just happened:
Scott gets traded from near the South Western corner of the league, where he's a bubble player, but starting All Star.
He gets traded to the Habs, who promptly send him down, and will most likely never call him up. Being in the minors makes him ineligible for the AS Game (apparently) and, to top it all off, he's been sent to the most North Eastern corner of the AHL.
Lots of speculation for weeks that they were just going to waive Tinordi. Is it really out of the question the Scott's refusal to turn down the AS selection got him traded to somewhere he (likely) doesn't want to be?

Ridiculous trade. No doubt the reasoning was to get Scott out of the AS game.

Poor John Scott is really getting screwed on this. Not sure if it will do any good, but I signed the following petition and am sharing it here and on social media:

Over 5800 sigs so far! Regardless of why he was voted in - joke or not - he should be in the game...might liven it up a LOT!
