I think that this may save e-pack (for this year).
I wonder though, aside from the McDavid YG and some of the higher end jersey cards, who would bother trading common cards? I wouldn't mind finishing off my sets (to get to the super silver magical set and the McDavid bonus cards)... but there is no way that I can leverage that many trades without buying a case of the product to begin with.
I hope that the e-pack trend dies soon.

I wonder if you can only do 1 for 1 trades or will it allow you to do a 50 for 1 trade? I wonder what kind of limits it will have?

That's what I've been wanting to do.
I don't have a COMC account and don't plan on getting one, unless I really, really have to, so I've been waiting for this.

I assume the platform they're using is similar to the Tim Horton's site that was launched back in the fall. There you could trade your extra cards "for any card I need" or look for a specific one. You didn't actually search someone out to make that deal with: The system did that for your.
I'm going to bet there is a way for you to list the cards you want, and then offer up whatever you want to get rid of. As more and more users do that, the system should just make trades for you.

Having talked with Chris Carlin a little bit about the trading platform...
Me: 1. Will trading, when it comes, be peer to peer or will it be automatically fulfilled by the system as it was for the Tim Hortons promotion? I really hope for the former. If I have three cards that my friend collects, and he has three Carey Price cards, I'd much prefer to be able to deal with him directly so we can help out each other's collecting.
Chris: *The plan is for trading to take place on a peer-to-peer basis. Since this is a digital environment, the trade (when accepted) will happen securely and instantly.

Definitely looking forward to trading. I have 138 cards, and I have three of six different players. Yet, I still only have two Sharks cards, total! Love that distribution...
