I love it! I think the designs are improved from last year, and it's something low-end that's very fun to collect.Jhonas Enroth Card Collector & Host of the Hidden Content

I do like the base card design much better. Last year's had that black strip in the corner that was prone to chipping, even fresh out of the pack.
Did anybody buy the binder?Last edited by Powerforward; 09-29-2016 at 05:40 PM.

I looked at a binder. The only thing special about it was the front. Otherwise it is just a narrow binder with some pages. I prefer to get my binders from Staples and then I am planning to put multiple years of base sets and checklists into one binder. I keep the higher end inserts in top loaders and only get one of each. But I like to have one base set and checklists in a binder to look at and a second base set and checklists stored away with the rest of the set.

I bought the binder yesterday, nothing too special. Not worth the $15 in my opinion.

The binder was a nice touch, but I think it's great that they thought to include one this year. Maybe next year they will up their game in the binder designing department. Kudos for UD for trying that, and it's the thought that counts for promos like these in my opinion. Better than nothing!

Anyone else think that those Gameday Action insert cards are super ugly? I mean just give me another base card instead of that one lol, they didn't try at all with the design.

I don't think they are super ugly, but more so unimagined. All the designs are essentially reworked from something past, and even borrowed. The GDA's remind me of Panini's Contenders. The Franchise Force remind me of Pinnacle's McDonald's cards. Platinum Profiles to an extent from Black Diamond. Of Course Clear Cut's are based on Ice. The Local Leaders are Hometown Heroes. The base cards still make me think of how Upper Deck was making the McDonald's cards before that promotion was turfed.
I see your point on ugliness for the GDA's. To me I see a concept borrowed, but not improved upon. In a way downgraded, and the thought of that is ugly in itself.Searching for: Jagr, Palffy, Stumpel, and Boyd

Well, a few weeks into this year's release (and also last year's) and I finally got an instant win from a Pin Code... free wedgies after 5pm. Hey, they're yummy so that works for me, haha!
For next year I may change my strategy. I have the benefit of having 5 Timmy's within 5 minutes of my house and I stop for a Steeped tea everyday and randomly pick up 1-3 packs at a time. I've noticed this usually ends up as getting the same base cards and inserts (Local Leaders / Gameday Action) over and over. Over the last few days, I've decided to buy the cards in bunches of 5 packs. Every time, I've hit either a Clear Cut or Platinum Profiles along with a Pure Gold and the rest common inserts. Seems to me you get a better bet at hitting an interesting insert when you go 5+ packs instead of 1-3. Maybe an anomaly, who knows.
Finally - the Timmys that is closest to me is having trade nights for Timmy's cards... anyone else's doing the same? I might go along and see what I can pick up.

Same here.
My belief is once you have all the cards in your online set, you should redeem all your pins to get a chance at more instant prizes. I have a feeling that they dry up soon into the promo. Last year I was late in redeeming all my pins, and didn't get a single instant win. So I think I'll have to enter the 50 or so I have now, and try and see if I can get another two or three instant wins.
Anyone else get any, and what?Last edited by Goose97; 10-09-2016 at 03:08 PM.
