    Tim Hortons cards

Are Tim Horton cards boring or is it just me. The design is dull.I don't see no value in the cards.
I keep asking why did I buy a pack. Tim Horton should keep selling coffee and donuts, and stay out of selling cards.
If I pulled an autograph card of any player it would awesome. I would have to buy $500. worth of packs to pull an autograph card.

ive bought over $1000 worth & didnt even get a Jersey yet alone an Autograph. I probably wont be buying them next year. The set is condition sensitive as well especially the Pure Gold"s. I like the Franchise Force cards & the New addition this year, the Clear Cut Phenoms but thats about it.. I bought them cause they are good traders right now & of course a chance at getting a jersey or Auto.. No such luck though...

The jerseys fall at 1:1800 packs, so you would, on average, spend a lot more than $1000 to pull a jersey. This set is not for the high end collector. But I love it. I finished the base set last year, and I am well on my way to have this year's base set completed. But I find extremely good value in this set. I sell of any inserts on ebay, and only focus on the base set. I am almost at break-even between the cost of the packs, and the inserts I have moved on ebay. I was close to break even last year as well. Don't know many products that are that consistent. Buy a few tins of The Cup this year and you will end up flushing thousands down the toilet.

I think the Tim Hortons sets are fantastic. I mean, tough hits are what I want to see in our hobby more. It makes collecting fun, and make pulling a jersey or auto that much more exciting. It's collecting hockey cards at its core and that's what people love about it. If you want some jersey and autographs, feel free to buy some boxes this year.

Although, they'll be super overpriced though. But hey.. at least you'll be guaranteed a jersey card.

The Timmies packs are cheap, good for the kids to pickup the hobby IMO, and you can keep chasing for those redemptions if your wallet allows it while still continuing to build/buy/trade with your friends to complete a master set in the mean time. I see no problems with that, and I wish More places did what Tim Horton's are doing. Just my 2 cents.

Tim Horton's cards are awesome!!!!!!!!! My 9 and 5 year old boys love them. Finally a reasonably priced product that they were able to collect and complete. I hosted a trade night with several of my buddies and both my boys came out and made several trades. This years release has gotten both my boys involved in the hobby more then any thing else that has proceeded it.Maybe not every set is for the guys looking to rip and flip and become rich. 2 of our stores have a trade night schedules for Oct 20th and both my kids are pumped to take there traders and see what happens. Last year my kids had no interest and admittedly I was not a fan of the product, but absolutely love it this year. A little off topic, but our little city (22,000 pop) has 6 timmies, we have to be up among the leaders for per capita :)

They're fun. In a hobby that is in desperate need of some fun, this set is exactly what a lot of us use to get those trading juices flowing again. It's so easy to be bogged down in cynicism over print runs, values, eBay, ePack, on an on...just very nice to be able to turn a loonie or a toonie into something that you enjoy as part of your hobby.

To me the Tim Horton's set is what collecting is all about! It is not for people who have $1000 to spend on hockey cards. It is an inexpensive set to build, has an insert card in every pack, and each pack is affordable.
Trade nights are happening at Timmie's and local card stores. Kids can get into this set on their limited budgets. People are helping each other complete their sets rather than trying to make a buck off of each other. However, it is also still keeping ebay busy. And there are still some crazy limited chase cards with autos or jerseys that are extremely hard to hit. Over the years, jersey and auto cards became too easy to obtain. Not with this set!

I only wish that Upper Deck would give out a better card with photos.
