2017 Trade Deadline Discussion Mega-Thread
Because there's likely to be a lot of activity over the next three days, rather than having new threads for every deal (though for the blockbusters if people wanna do them let's do them) let's have one big general discussion and announcement thread.
Let's see how big-time we can make this thread in the next couple days!
Post your rumours (no Eklund-style "fake news"! LOL), what you're seeing, what you want to see, and more!
Let's have some fun talking hockey and being armchair general managers!
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

I dont see the Leafs doing anything this year. Maybe a minor deal or 2 but other than that it will be quiet. I sit there all day on Deadline day to watch what happens. C'mon March 1st!! Lets see who goes where.. Luv deadline day!!!

@jameslacarte They've already added big Brian Boyle! I imagine they'll do a couple other moves as well. They're definitely in a position to be buyers.

Wow, i did not know that. Boyle is a big boy who has half decent hands. I like this add for the Leafs. Thanks for the info..

after losses to Colorado and Arizona... I expect the Sabres to be sellers this week and move Gionta, Gorges, possibly Ennis or Girgensons and hopefully Moulson, Franson, Kulikov and Bogosian

@scottkoz20 I know a team in Montreal that would look good with Gorges in the lineup.

Not sure why, but the Sens got Burrows from the Canucks. I'm thinking maybe tighten up the D to help Karlsson a little?? Thoughts?
Always looking for Senators cards! Must be a draft pick, or the card is identifiable as a Senators card before I want it!
As most of you know, I suffered a fairly severe stroke in April '25, so mail goes out anytime!

I don't understand how he can help this team and unfortunately the victim/odd man out will be a heart and soul player like Chris Neil.

Burrows will be your 3rd line winger, along with being one of the four PK forwards ..... not sure how closely related to Karlsson the pick up was. He can move up to the 2nd line if needed as well.
In all honesty, I think Ottawa got hosed in this deal. A tleast they re-signed him for 2 more season.
