I understand but not everybody wants to pay 15$ for shipping on a 5$ card!

Then they just don't buy it. You are never going to please everyone on eBay, so you might as well protect yourself. I have had much success with the way I have been doing it. So much success I started doing eBay full time January 1st 2017. Then January 1st 2018 I took the big leap and became an eBay cornerstone store. My sales so far this year have just passed all of last year's sales combined.

That will bring an end to lower-end cards on ebay!

I sell almost 200 $1 items every month, and all get shipped with tracking. I offer free shipping on orders over $20 here in the states, and take that same $3 off of the $10 shipping to Canada. It has worked out beautifully for me.

I usually go with tracking for any cards ending $70 or higher but after what I've encountered, I am dropping it to $50. Recently I am hearing more and more cheaters/scammers on ebay and its ridiculous!

I am charging for shipping 3$ to Canada and 3.75 to USA, untracked, in Canada the costs are very high for tracked shipping, about 14$ to Canada and 18$ to USA. I will probably change my policy which was shipping obligatory over 100$, might bring it down to 50$ or 75$, losing too much money right now.

Shipping with tracking is more expensive, but in the world we live in today, it is a necessary evil. Buying on eBay is a convenience. Honest buyers will understand the cost, many have no other ways of obtaining those cards they want. Ultimately without tracking you have no way to prove you ever shipped it, and the buyer will win the case every time. Protect yourself and your sales. Ship with tracking ALWAYS.

Look at this listing I have. It is a single US penny for $1. I have sold 37 of them, many as a stand alone sale. These buyers paid shipping that included tracking. I felt the exact way you guys are feeling about a year ago, and shipped many of these in a PWE. Yes, but your cost is 2.75$ for tracked shipping to USA. I bet you didn’t sell much to Canada
which will cost you 10$.

I have heard that eBay will be requiring tracking on every item sent. This change may actually take place before the end of this year.
