Who is using COMC Mailboxes (secondary mailbox)?

Just looking to get a sense of how many of you are using COMC Mailboxes OR a secondary mailbox for shipping purposes?

If you are, please post and let me know how this is working for you overall?

    Thanks,
    Scott

My family has a mailbox about 2 mins over the border, I use that.

Sucks about the new Washington State tax.

You have to pay WA sales taxes on an order (from eBay) going to COMC. It's basically killed it for me. Between that, and the higher fees (last year) to use the COMC mailbox.... If s/h is 10 bucks to Canada, its not worth the mailbox anymore.

I still use it occasionally. With the additional tax is is only really worth it when you are buying a cheap card from the U.S. with expensive shipping. Definitely not using it as much as I used to.

wait, so COMC is collecting Washington State tax on orders that are shipped to them? Is this on everything?

Not COMC. eBay. I think this is getting common for a lot of states.... we're only talking about WA because that's where COMC is.

If NY added the same tax laws around online shopping, and I purchased in eBay and shipped it to you, I'd have to pay NY sales tax.

Let's say I buy a card for 20 bucks. Seller charges 2 dollars for USA shipping, and 7 for Canada.

When COM charged 2 bucks for the service, and 50 cents per card.... but the 2 covered the first 4 cards.... I often bought extra cards from the same seller (up to 3) to list on COMC. Kept the cost of my card down (2 to ship, plus 50 cents to recieve... then shipped back). Might make a couple of bucks too.

Now? Its 3 bucks for the package, and 60 cents per card. So 1 card costs 3.60... 4 would cost 5.80. I don't bother unless I think the extras are a steal.

So my one card ($20) now cost 3.60 for them to recieve, plus I had to pay 1.30 in WA taxes. Thats almost the entire savings from using the mailbox - and I have not sent it home yet. No point.

Sellers using the global program.... still a good deal to use COMC.

Yup... and to avoid that, I will use COMC. Still though... It has to be something worth 10$$$ to ship. Most of what I'm searching for isnt that.
