Thought Experiment
Saw this question on FB, say you had an Artifacts (sample product) with a sticker auto on a 1/1, 1/5, 1/99 etc. with a cool patch for your PC. If you had the chance to get it signed IP, would you ever remove the sticker to get the card signed itself?

No
Sticker autographs really don't bother me that much. Plus in some cases they are impossible to remove from the card.Selling all my cards here updated as of May------------> Hidden Content

The assumption is that you personally got the auto from the player and that it goes into your PC, not selling/trading it.

Great question! I've never thought about this before.
On a 1/1, I don't think I'd take the risk as the autograph may not turn out great, the angle might be off, the signature might be too big, etc. In this case I'd rather just keep the sticker on the card and leave it in its pack-pulled state.
However, for a sticker autograph numbered /50 or more? Sure, why not. Assuming the card will be staying with me forever of course and I could always pickup another copy for the PC as well.
Great topic! I personally really like IP autographed cards and collect them when I can for my collection.Jhonas Enroth Card Collector & Host of the Hidden Content

If it for a pc why not. As you then have a memory of the athlete signing your card.

No, there's more than enough unsigned cards of every player out there that ruining a perfectly fine sticker auto is superfluous.

I think the thought is that regular cards are not designed with an autograph in mind, and I always hear people say they prefer hard-signed cards over stickers any day of the week. If you have a card with a cool patch that you think would look better on card, why not do it?

Just the thought of this is making me squirm.

Richard,
i would concur with you but it not unnecessary from my viewpoint of the hobby. If you remember especially in baseball people used to get livid when folks would get rookie cards signed. Now if you look those autograph rookie cards of especially deceased players bring some serious value when they are put up for auction. Just saying what might seen like a bad idea might be a good idea down the road. Perhaps 1 of 1 auto's will be the hot thing 20 years from now. Of course only time will tell. It is a hobby and what ever floats your boat is what you should do especially when it comes to PC cards.
