You opened a thread up, people gave you their opinion, you don't like it, and now you're responding like this? This isn't fb marketplace or something, the people on these threads have been here for YEARS. I left the hobby for 3 years and it's still mostly the same people. We are die hards trying to help out people who open threads. We are all mostly older/experienced, we all want to help whenever we can, and we will, but don't respond like this to someone trying to help.

I'm too old to get dragged into a fight like this, but I'll put this forward...You came to the forum soliciting opinions. People gave you their opinions in a nice and cordial way. Your responses have been disrespectful to the people on this forum. You shouldn't do that. I'm done, that's it for me.

I watched ebay videos of people opening mystery packs and a lot of those packs had decent cards and it caught me eye. Unfortunately they didn't say the name of the seller so i did research on ebay. Many ebay mystery pack sellers had positive feedback so I came on here.

When the first response is 'absolutely none of them' i assumed it was an over exaggerated humorous response so i replied with my own over exaggerated humorous respsonses throughout this thread.

humor, look into it, it's fun.

anybody have any recommendations on which ones are the best to buy?

A lot more have been popping up lately

I've bought a few of them in the past year. They were ok, but nothing spectacular

    Yea, mine. lol

Funny because I was just watching collectors break "mystery packs" on youtube and most of them sucked.... Sure they were getting cards or commons from nice or "high-end" sets but on the other hand they were getting good players from "mid-end" or "low-end" sets..

Honestly, we should make "mystery packs" ourselves and trade among ourselves - I think it would be fun.. We could establish some rules, like at least 25 cards per pack, at least $100 in BV.... Or even make "blind trades" where a member tells another member what teams they collect, what players they collect, what sets they like etc and each party puts together a pack of an agreed upon criteria (dollar amount, # of cards etc) for the other member based on their PC's... I mean you will have an idea what you're getting but it's still a surprise hence fun.

I mean I think that would be a great way for us to kinda "shuffle the cards around" as they say and get some "new" cards for our "older" cards we've been sitting on for too much time.. Not only that but we can get cards we can add to our PC's ..... Look, as a Hawks fan I have tens of thousands of cards I don't give a crap about that another collector would love to add to their PC... I mean I'm surrounded by cards I really have no use for and it's not really worth the time to toss them up on eBay.... For example: here is a 2020-21 UD MVP Nick Suzuki 20th Anniversary 3 star Gold Script. I have no attachment to the card, I don't collect Habs and I don't collect Suzuki however there is absolutely someone on this site that wants to add that card to their PC or needs that card to fill a set....

I have 50,000++ Hall of Famers, superstars, rookies, inserts parallels etc that I would love to trade for cards that suit my PC and I'm sure I'm not the only one in that position..

So yea, if anyone wants to make a "blind trade" with me I'm totally down, we can set some simple agreed upon rules if need be and just make a "blind trade"... For example: minimum 25 cards, $100 minimum in book value - which IMO is totally reasonable.. $4 bucks a card? - I think we all have boxes stuffed with cards that are at least $4 bucks a card that we would trade in a nanosecond for something we could add to our PC's...

If anyone wants to give my idea a try I'm totally game. PM me and let me know what team you collect, which players you collect, which brands you're interested in and which years or era's you're interested in.. We can set some vague rules like the aforementioned 25/$100 and make packs that meets your trading partners PC needs, or wants in general and both sides can get rid of some older cards they've had sitting around while getting some new cards to add to their PC...

I really don't see any downside to this idea.. I mean 95% of my 1.2 million card collection are teams and players I don't even collect - they're nothing BUT traders and I would love to trade some of them for some Hawks and some sets I'm working on.

Like I said - if this interests anyone just PM me and give me a vague set of criteria and I will do my best to make the best pack possible for you and you can do the same for me - then to make it even better we can grade each other on our "blind trades" er "personalized mystery packs"....

C'mon man, don't insult the guy..... He's looking for good mystery packs and I happen to enjoy mystery packs myself and have been in the hobby since 1988....

Look, if you don't know a reputable eBayer that sells quality mystery packs then why reply at all?

Oh, and this looks like market place to me -- there are 2 sub-forums -- one for buying and selling and another for specifically TRADING. So if this wasn't a marketplace then what the hell are those 2 sub-forums doing there??

It's called networking, that's what the internet is for - that's what sites like this are for .... Talk about sports, talk about sports cards and buy sell and trade sports cards....
