Probably, supported by the "he's won everything there is to win" argument.

There are a handful of players that deserve it before Perry

less than .725 points per game 18 year career
sure he won a cup but matt murray has won 2
does one or two good years get you in
he only scored more than 40 twice
but
are his contributions to his teams considered?
also he was a dirty (stick) player during his best years
does he deserve it
like maybe
Guy Carbonneau .50 ppg ?? only scored more than 25 goals once in a season (26) in the gretzky era
his last 8 seasons -- averaged less than 8 goals per year
just because you cant score doesnt make you a great defensive forward duh
its mostly all politics now
but as for Perry i would vote noLast edited by icefields; 12-05-2022 at 09:14 PM.

I love Carbo, and he is one of the best defensive forwards to play the game, but HOFer? Yeah, I'm not on board with that either. Perry? His trophy case is busting at the seams. He gets in.

In my opinion, what got Carbo in the HOF is the 1993 finals. Kings won the first game and Carbo asked to the coach (Demers) to play against Gretzky. Habs won the next 4 games straight.Last edited by odjickfan; 12-07-2022 at 11:40 PM.
