Wow, this passing hits close to home as I am about the age of Walton and followed his career at UCLA and then into the NBA. Always wondered just how great his career would have been if he hadn't got hurt.

So yes, RIP Bill Walton, truly an original for sure!

Grateful to have pulled these cards through the years. I have more cards of Bill but these are the only ones scanned. One thing I loved about pulling a Walton card is he took pride in his autograph. You can actually read his signature!

And back in the day could not believe my luck in pulling this dual card. Never got to meet Walton but did get to meet and speak with Wooden so many years ago

So this card is extra special!

RIP Bill and say hello to Jerry Garcia

Great post and collection! He did have a nice signature. Another one like that was John Havlicek. I don't believe cursive is taught anymore, so a lot of the young Gen Z athletes just sign their initials.

That's an amazing John Wooden and Bill Walton dual autograph. Thanks for sharing it and the rest of them. Topps had so many bad pairings with that set that to find one that actually works together and is desirable is rare. I can't fault them too much since they didn't have Kobe Bryant, Lebron James, or Michael Jordan who were Upper Deck exclusives to use and guys like Tim Duncan and Charles Barkley didn't really sign for anybody but the selection of pairings in Topps CoSigners for basketball was odd at best and down right terrible at worse for some of the pairings.

@doniceage they are from @ronfir 's collection -- his post is just below mine. I think I did have a Walton auto years ago, but I must have traded it, as I checked my collection and I don't have any Walton autos.
