I think that is fair, 23 months is a long time- if you don't agree just look at what some Drug dealers and Killers get. I don't really know how the law works down there , but i had a friend that was killed by some punk with a Baseball Bat a couple years back and the Guy only Got 5 yrs, because he was Drunk and on Drugs.

i think what he did and what he was involved with was very wrong...that being said I still think the sentence was too long.

I think it's about right. People who think it's too long, remember he RAN the dogfighting operation. He was the *Kingpin* in this, he wasn't "mixed in with some bad people" or whatever, he WAS the bad people. Think of it that way (& all those dead dogs!) and I think it'll seem about right then.
The criminal justice system can be a funny thing, the fact that he crossed so many state lines made it federal case which made the punishment like 10X as bad. It is, for lack of a better word, an "inconsistency."Please feel free to message me here about my electronic bay & COMC listings

Considering the state of VA will probably do nothing, he got off fairly easy.
He will probably face a 1-1 1/2 year suspension after he returns so he is probably done until the 2010 season if not 2011 which would make him 30 or 31 years old by the time he returns. In essence, his career is over and it is exactly what he deserves. Anybody with the career, money and future that he had that is dumb enough to get involved in dog fighting deserves to lose it all.
