Philip Rivers is a punk
If my son acted like he does on the sidelines he would be benched. At home I would have a serious talk with him about sportsmanship. I truly dispise him and hope the Bolts lose just so I don't see him anymore.

Oh so last year the Pats can dance the Lights out dance at midfield after winning last year but Rivers jawing with the fans is totally inappropriate. Apparently the fans were saying some crap and he was defending it all. IMO, he only reacted like a young QB and is still learning. He's young and was on the verge of winning a game that his team was a huge underdog. Stuff happens, get over it and move on. He'll only learn wwith age and experiance.

I don't think anyone really knows what he said or who it was to. He claimed he was cheering for his defense which is completely acceptable. If he is talking trash to the other teams QB, that's another story. Without knowing what was said and who it was directed at, no one should even bring up the Denver game. Furthermore, as I stated in my previous post, he is young and learning. He will learn with experience and that is a fact. You can't possibly say that you haven't said something you don't regret in the heat of the moment because I know I have done so. It happens and you learn with age.

If you believe he was cheering for his defense I have some land to sell you in Florida. I promise it's not a swamp.

I think Rivers should worry more about his knee than the fans. You have to give it him though, he is tough and played through some tough injuries. I can forgive him for yelling at fans for playing through injuries the past few weeks and beating a tough Titans defense and keeping the defending Super Bowl champs on their toes.

I believe he is an emotional leader and not only believes in himself, but also believes in the team. You were NOT on the sideline and didn't hear what was said so you arer going based off of he said-he said. Feed me your speculation and I will feed you reality. Rivers is as tough as any QB in the game and has shown he can play with the best of them. Now he will need to step up and play the current best on Sunday.
Furthermore, you should remember that some fans are arrogant and will say what ever to get a reaction from a professional. He may have voiced to an arrogant fan how he felt and nothing more. I dislike players that spat with the fans but I despise fans that pay their admition and think they can say whatever they want without accountability.

I have a friend who was at the game and said the fans were giving him the one finger salute. What he should have done is act with more class. He acts like a little kid who hasn't been taught how not to lash back. What he should have done is ignore or say something so off beat that the guy wouldn't have been given the satisfaction of a bad response.
