With the first pick in the 2008 NFL Draft, the Miami Dolphins select...
QB Matt Ryan, Boston College
I went with Matt Ryan because the Dolphins are in desperate need of a leader. Ryan showed very good leadership skills with Boston College and has the intelligence and arm, to become a very good signal caller in this league.

with the second overall pick in the 2008 nfl draft the rams select Jake Long.
i picked jake long beacuse the rams are in need of an offenceive lineman and jake long is the perfect fit. he showed grate athleticism in michigan and i think he will be the perfect fit.

i dont agree that ryan will go to miami only because they used there #2 pick last year to get john beck. i kno he struggled but hes going to have another shot next season i think theyll go with chris long who would help there entire defense... as for the rams they may take jake long but i have a feeling theyll go with glen dorsey just because hes shown so much athleticsm and the rams need a little of that!

i hear what your saying about Matt Ryan, but that was a different GM and coaching staff...and John Beck is 27. If they dont feel he is the real deal and they feel Ryan is they gotta do it

I think the best reason that I heard that the Dolphins won't take Ryan was his INT's.
Jamie Dukes pointed out that GM Bill Parcells "despises" turnovers and that 19 INTs in college translates into 25+ in the pros and that Parcells wouldn't invest a #1 pick and $30 million in guaranteed money in a guy that can't limit his turnovers.
I guess we shall see.........

With the 3rd Overall Pick in the 2007 NFL Draft the Atlanta Falcons Select :
Glenn Dorsey LSU DT
i think that the falcons will draft matt ryan but he was selected by the dolphins so i will go with glenn dorsey he will be a good fit he is a strong dt and the falcons need some help on defense and the new head coach of the falcons said he is going to try and build on their defense this off season

With the 4th overall pick the Raiders select Chris Long. Yes McFadden is on the board but the Raiders had the #6 rushing offense last year so they can pass on him. The Raiders bolstered their secondary in free agency this off season by picking up Deangelo Hall and Gibril Wilson so the only questionable area is the defensive line. Who better to get than the son of a Raiders all-time great. Long is lean, mean, and a force to be reckoned with. He is arguably the most sure fire prospect of this years draft so the Raiders would be dumb to let him pass by.
