Good pick for the Cowboys. Jones should be a nice compliment to Barber. Todd McShay's mock draft has them taking a RB and WR with their first two picks. This is the year the Cowboys finally take offense in the first round!

Not sure about a WR though. TO and Crayton are still good. Glenn (?) see how he goes. Hurd, Austin have had a bit of playing time. Stanback is the sleeper here I think. I think CB is another need more than WR.

With the 23rd pick the Pittsburgh Steelers pick Jeff Otah OT university of Pittsburgh.
Thought I think it will be Chris Williams of Vandy since Otah should be taken before Williams. But since Williams is off the board in this draft it would be Otah

With the 24th pick of the 2008 NFL draft, the Tennessee Titans select Limas Sweed WR from the University of Texas.
The Titans feel lucky that such a talent has slipped to them in the draft no doubt over concerns with Limas' wrist injury. Limas also feels lucky to be reunited with so many familar faces of former long horns.
The Titans also have needs at DT, DE, and RB (a changeup from Lendale since opinon in regards to Chris Henry has soured lately).
I could almost see Calais Campbell or Kentwan Balmer at this pick with hopes of picking up Ealy Doucet, Devin Thomas, Mario Mannigham, or Earl Bennett in the second round.
If Felix Jones happens to be available at this pick, I can see him being the pick with the same hopes at WR during the second round.
With Sweed taken with their #1 pick, I could see Jammal Charles picked with their #2 almost prompting a name change to the Tennessee Longhorns!

Really like the Jeff Otah pickup for the Steelers. They gave up way too many sacks last year. Big Ben needs backside protection, especially after that huge contract he got.
Like Sweed to the Titans as well. Tennessee really needs some WR help and Sweed and Young already have some chemistry. Will be interesting to see what comes of it.

Not sure I agree with this one. The Steelers are in desperate need to replace Faneca. They dealt with the C position by signing Justin Hartwig away from Tennessee. They have no G's solid enough to step in at the LG spot and protect BigBens blind side. I think they will take VA guard Branden Albert in the 1st round.
Otah wouldn't be a bad choice because it would allow them to slide Marvel Smith back to his natural position on the right but they are better off with Starks or Colon on the RT spot than with Chris Kemoeatu at the LG spot. Taking Otah means that BigBen's blind side would be protected by a rookie (Otah) and a career back-up G (Kemoeatu) and I don't see them doing that.
Interesting pick. We shall see.

Well if I got to make my pick the steelers would have selected limas sweed of texas.
Pittsburgh needs either a good slot receiver or #2 depending on your opinion of Holmes, plus they are lacking a good return man. The draft is deep this year with offensive lineman. so pick up the OL in rd 2 and CB/DB in 3rd
But thats my opinion.

My son thinks Sweed would make a good pick for them too. I agree a slot is a need, especially with no real solid WR's other than Hines and Holmes on the roster and Hines getting older. I am not sold on Nate either.
If they go WR I hope they take a tall one. BigBen has always liked tall WR's. He and Plax worked well together and BigBen's favorite target in college was Martin Nance who is 6'3". They keep trying to add a big WR (Baker 6'3", Trannon 6'6") but the guys they are adding have no talent. They seem to think that because they get lucky and find some talent after the 4th round for the offensive line that they can find a tall star WR then too, not likely to happen.
I am hearing that Branden Albert will probably be gone by the time the Steelers pick but he is being touted as good enough to play both OT and OG spots on the line, a rare talent and hard to pass up if he is still their at #23.

I think the Seahawks are going to take Steve Slaton from West Virginia. He is one of the top RB's coming out with pure speed.
