i am a big concert person!! i have tailed off a little this past year or so though. i mainly like to go to rock shows and stuff like warped tour. i do love pop though, i saw justin timberlake last year and it was amazing. i used to go to probably 20 concerts a year, but now it is more like 10 or less.

as for what i have lined up so far...

4/30- honda civic tour at constitution hall (DC)
5/2- mtvu tour at university of maryland (simple plan, wyclef, the spill canvas, the bravery) (maybe)
7/16- warped tour at merriweather post pavilion (maryland)
7/20- 311 and snoop dogg at nissan pavilion (virginia) (probably)
8/11- rancid at 9:30 club (dc)

i only travel farther than my immediate area for my favorite bands or singers... it is really fun to do that.

nothing better than a big group of people traveling to shows!!

i spent alot of time at the 9:30 club in the early 00's.....cool club, get in alot of big acts there!! saw some big rap acts, the long beach dub all stars, was real big on VaCo (virginia coalition) back then too - played alot of shows there

i absolutely dispise the nissan pavillion....ive been on a boycot of the NP since 2001!!

I'm sure you've probably seen the Allman Brothers before, but man they put on a great show. I saw them 2 years ago...they were always a band that I really liked, but after that show they are one of my favs.

This is my first summer back in the small town of Franklin, NC....no concerts here, only Pickin' on the Square every Saturday night. And with a 1 year old and another due in July, don't think I'll get to travel to see many either. Chattanooga was never a hotbed for concerts, but at least we had the 10-day Riverbend festival every year and some other good small bands like Cross Canadian Ragweed, Shooter Jennings, and Sister Hazel. Of course that was right up my alley anyway...I prefer the small venues and bar shows much better than the huge arena/amphitheater any day!

All of you concert goers enjoy them for those of us who want to sooooo bad, but can't!

love the allmans, and even better with the dog on stage with them - some of the better shows ive seen in the past few years.....glad they decided to put these tours together, the atmosphere is very reminiscent of late 80s/early 90s tours

greg is really sick though (hepatitis c)....they recently had to cancel the whole 15 show run at the beacon theater in nyc (real big annual event for them).....so im not sure whats gonna happen with the summer tour.....wish him the best though!!

yeah, 9 30 club is probably my favorite in this area! awesome venue.

and a lot of people seem to hate nissan, maybe it is the parking lot or something.

I really dont know if I'll be going to any this year. Kenny Chesney is coming to Charleston May 8th but mom/dad wont let us go. Carrie Underwood is coming here June 14th but were werent able to get tickets and had no luck winning them from the radio. lol I havent heard of anyone else coming around here. Hopefully Taylor Swift will come back. I'd definately go to that one!

nice thing about the gorge is camping right on the columbia river!! i dont know, just something about that place that gives me chills!!

    http://youtube.com/watch?v=RAUeLUsHtXg

been to the rocks twice to see dave.....personally my 2nd favorite.....just as nice, just dont have the vast number of shows that the gorge does (its always be a matthews staple).....dave just started playing the rocks again a few years ago - no stop this year, or id have been out there!! didn't they close it down for a while to do some renevations or preservations a few years back??

great place though, glad you posted the pic!! i get spoiled with stuff like that.....after the gorge, the rocks, alpine valley, central park, bonnaroo, msg, rfk, giants stadium, etc, etc its getting hard to be satisfied, lol - im all about the venues.....i cant go a year without a big concert trip

Ahh the Gorge...Been to a few Ozzfests there. Seems like its one of the hottest places on earth During August :P

Only one I have planned in the near future is one with Flogging Molly, Flobots, Nadasurf, Pennywise and 2 Bands I've never heard of. Up in seattle Somewhere in Mid June.

My Favorite Place for Concerts is Roseland Theater in Portland OR...Not a big place, but a Pretty fun place for a concert!

Still my favorite place to see a show in the tri-state area.....great setting, great tailgate, bands seem to like it and put on above avg shows. Always stay at the Racoon Creek campground right down the road - love the convenience

it'll always be the Star Lake to me though

It will always be the Star Lake to me too..Out of all of the concerts I have been too I have gone there for most of them..So far I have seen these bands there

    Rush
    Kiss
    Poison
    Disturbed
    Van Halen/Alice In Chains
    Korn
    Ozzfest (Twice)
Marshall Tucker Band/Molly Hatchet/Charlie Daniels Band/Hank Williams Jr

There are alot of others just can't think of them offhand..Thanks Ed
I only trade by Beckett price guide, not eBay comp or SV, TV..I also do not collect any Panini or Donruss Baseball products..
