Report: Favre's Agent Cook Focuses On Dolphins, Panthers
Very surprising with those teams

Report: Favre's Agent Cook Focuses On Dolphins, Panthers
Tom Silverstein, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel -
With QB Brett Favre having asked the Green Bay Packers for his release, there is growing speculation that Favre and his agent Bus Cook have already chosen a team that would be best for the future Hall of Fame QB. A source identified both the Miami Dolphins and the Carolina Panthers are possible landing spots, should Favre escape Green Bay.

Parcells knows if he gets Favre then he can trade him away and get a nice group of players for him. Especially defensive players from Chicago or Vikings.

The latest news states that the Packers have no intention of releasing Favre. Personally I think he's had a great career and needs to call it a day. I know he loves the game but I think going to another team puts him in a position to diminish what he's accomplished.

Oooooh...the Packers say they aren't going to release him and he is "welcome" to rejoin the team as a backup QB......wow. The Packers apparently are ready to play a little hardball. It looks like they're not very happy with the way he did things and if he's coming back, they're either going to keep him or trade him and get something out of the deal. As I said in another thread, Favre is by far my all-time favorite player. But looking at it from the Packers perspective, I think they're doing the right thing by not granting his release...if they did, they would get nothing out of it and if Favre is going to put them in the position where they have to play the bad guy, they better get something for it.
I am kind of shocked they came right out and said he would be a backup....

I hope Farve comes to the panthers, that'd really motivate delhomme to come back as good as he was before.

The panthers are a good team this year, we can make the playoffs if delhomme is healthy the entire season, farve would be a great addition though, myabe give delhomme a little rest. and the phins, well parcells would trade him as soon as he signed.

I personally think the Packers need to just forget about Aaron Rodgers and give Brett his spot back. I know Favre put himself in this situation, but let's face it, the Packers are a Superbowl contender with Favre at Qb and they are not with Rodgers.
Also, I personally think if Brett comes back, it won't be for 1 season. I fully expect him to finish out his contract and play for the remaining 3 seasons. I know he is 38, but why couldn't he play until he's 41? Vinny was playing last season....Brett hasn't been hurt at all in his career, so he might possibly be the "Youngest" 38 year old ever to be in the NFL, so he's not the typical 38 year QB. Physically he looks great and his numbers that he put up last season were the best since about 2003. He can still play and in my mind, he's still in the top 5 QB's in the league (Peyton Manning, Brady, Romo, then FAVRE).
Green Bay is making a bad move on the way they are handling this situation. I know they think Aaron Rodgers in the future, but honestly, I don't think the future is now, even though it looks like it is going to be.
As far as Brett Favre goes though, if he thinks he can still play, I say play. Even if it can't be for the Packers, isn't the NFL a better event to watch with Favre, rather than without Favre?

As a life long Packer fan and having grown up with Brett Favre as one of my quarterbacks, I wish he would just ride the tractor into the sunset. First, I am tired of the "diva" antics. I don't want to sit around every year and wait for him to decide. The Packers organization is WAY bigger than Brett Favre and has no reason to wait on him. He made his bed, he should lie in it. Now I know I am going to take heat for this, but when was the last time Brett truly won a "big" game? I would have to think back to 1996. He did put up great numbers, he was awesome to watch, I would take him in a 2 minute drill anyday, but let's move on. I feel if he wants to play let him, find a place for him. The Packers do have to look out for their interest and don't want him in a rivals city. Lombardi went to coach the Redskins, The Golden Boy went and played elsewhere, Jim Taylor too. Reggie tried it. I want to give Aaron a shot, he has the peices around him, let's see what he can do. My take, for what it is worth.
