Does a BGS 9 add any value?

I'm very unfamiliar with valuing graded cards, but from what I've seen it seems like a BGS 9 doesnt really do anything to add value to a card. Specifically wondering about my Jay Cutler Artist Proof below. If I were to trade it would it be fair to ask for any added BV?

Idk football card wise, but for baseball a 9 BGS adds like 20 BV, not really that much more

I don't believe it should. The high BV is based off of cards being near mint-mint, so if a card is graded a 9 (mint), it's the same condition as the card that is booked.

I will pay more if all the sub grades are 9 or above.

Agreed, I know people who get anything below a 9.5 that will bust the card out and sell it raw.

I would say only for maybe Exquisite because alot of that stuff was poorly packaged and getting a BGS 9 is kinda like getting a 9.5 in anything else. Otherwise a BGS 9 is just basic and i wouldn't ask for anything more.

A 9 should fetch full bv while a "raw" card described as mint will go for a little less. Seems like football collectors, for the most part, aren't big fans of grading. I'm not sure why this as I happen to love the fact that I know what I am buying will reflect the grade it has received.

Trade Value or Sell Value because a BGS 9 will not fetch full sell value, a 9.5 comes close but sometimes it doesn't fetch full sell value, just depends on the guy. A BGS 9 and a raw card will fetch similar sell value, atleast for football anyway. Im with ya though, i usually just buy 9.5's but i have no problem with 9's, still in very good shape and you know what your getting.
