Time puts Obama on the Cover for the 7th Time...
... in one year!! McCain has been on the cover twice. First the Washington Post comes out with their bias and Time is showing theirs now. And the brain washing continues...

Oh for god sakes Mike, get over it.
Try posting some threads on McCain if you are so angry about how much more coverage Obama gets.

You are the one that sounds angry. :)

Well if there is one thing I can't stand, it is hypocrisy. How about addressing the point I am making?
You whine about how poor little McCain doesn't get as much coverage about Obama, and then you post thread after thread about Obama?

So, what you are saying is I need to enact the Fairness Doctrine on SCF? Are you also saying that I have prevented you or the other 18,000 SCF members from posting stuff about McCain?
You may want to look up the definition of hypocrisy. I have a bias, but I'm not a hypocrit.

You still fail to recognize my point.
I couldn't care less if Obama or McCain gets the lion's share of coverage on SCF.
My point is, YOU (mikesilvia) have continously complained that McCain is not getting his fair share of coverage, yet nearly every single thread you post on this forum is about Obama. Do you not see the disconnect there?

When there starts to be things that McCain has done that need to be pointed out. Or when there is bias toward McCain, I will gladly point it out (as I am sure Mike will as well)

If there should be a bias toward McCain it should be in the conservative media but that's never going to happen because that's not the way those individuals work. Rather than extol the positives of McCain (whatever those are), conservatives come out in full attack mode to belittle and inundate the public with all the negativity they can about a candidate, in this case Obama. It was that way with Clinton, with Kerry, and now Obama. Listen to Hannity, Inghram, Limbaugh, et al and that's what you hear the majority of the time - Obama this, Obama that. Hannity and his "Stop Obama Express" is the most blatant example of bias against one candidate. Give me a break. All the whining about the liberal media as not being fair to McCain is a red Herring when you put it up against the tactics used by the right.
As far as how often Obama has been on the cover, yes, he's appeared more often but one of those covers was a daul picture with McCain, two others were with Hillary. The fact of the matter is/was that the race for the Democratic nomination was much more tighter than that of the Republicans The news was the Democratic race.
Finally, in the last year the National Review, that bastion of conservatism, has had Obama on the cover 9 times by my count, McCain 0. I guess we should all complain about his overexposure there, too.

I'll try to be as neutral as possible.
There's something more exciting about the possibly first African-American president. The public is getting tired of seeing old, white, rich guys. The media isn't necessarily showing their political beliefs; rather, they're simply posting what the public wants to see. In the age of capitalism, what's wrong with that?

So there is no way to point out that the media has a man crush on Obama without being a hypocrit? Is it at all possible to criticize Obama anymore?
